Wow is all I can say... haha (not that wow :P )
I will admit I tried the trial once before about a year ago and just could not get into it. At the time I had just quit WoW and was waiting on War... I thought Id try EvE out since I have heard so much about it over the years... I downloaded the trial and I was just dumb-founded by the learning curve and gave up. Coming from WoW it really slapped me in the face lol
Well, its summer now and I'm off school...So I thought what the heck, ill give it another shot! I'm so glad I did, I actually told my self I would finish the tutorial and beginner missions before giving up... for a second time. I did and I love this game it is so deep, I love how harsh it is on the players, the whole Risk vs Reward thing really gets my blood pumping when I'm in a tight spot.
Yeah, I have died... and almost ripped my keyboard in half! >_< lol (I'm only 2 days in now LOL) But its worth it to me... personally! Give it a try people! I did twice and the second time it got me...
If your looking for something unlike any mmo out there right now, this is it... and its so refreshing!
Names Kharvul in game!

Glad to hear you're enjoying the game, it's a great one
If you need any help or have any questions, feel free to shoot up Zyck (me) in game.
Welcome to Eve. I tried the trial and subbed the 2nd hour and been playing for the past 5 years.
Thats maybe only first optimistic impression for you....
After 15 months in EVE ive relized, there are 3 difficult moments, when people are leaving EVE:
1. between 1nd – 3rd week (its usually hard for younger players, when they realized, they suck in PvP... after loong 10 days of playing, and they cant fly biggest EVE ships soon... and cant kill all that ugly pirates in red blinking Battleships)
2. after second month, theres usually Biggest crysis... (at that time, everybody knows, hows EVE working, and they starting to ask: Play, or not to play, coz they know, EVE needs long time to be acceptable)
3. then, youre playing happy, until 9th month... theres last crysis of "young" EVE player...
But, if youll stay "alive", for first year, youre our... forever.
You missed the part when CCP nerfs the boat you are specialized in or you just enjoy the most, lol
One of the things I am really loving abuout eve is the music! It has a floating, space like ambiance. Very slow and sometimes even scary! I am just falling in love with it! haha I would buy the sound track!
I'm on day 5 of my trial and i like it alot so far. I've had so many questions and concerns, studied guides up and down..but everything so far solved itself because the game is quite logical once one got the basics. Every day i'm making so much progress and i love the "ahh..so that's how it works!"-effects.
I'm the kind of gamer who really loves to dig himself into a game, likes the learning, progressing and in that matter EvE is a rich source. I could spend days and nights just reading forums and i'm doing it all on my own. The steep learning curve is a challenge, but it seems like now that i'm over the very basics, things progress faster and easier. And the best is yet to come!
I also love the fact that i'm progressing even when i'm offline, it is so relaxing in a way. In all the other games i've always had the feeling that i must play on and off to progress and get to the most for my money. I hated it that my things stood still if i wasn't online to move them.
One thing i'm a little sorry about is that i didnt took chance to take a buddy-key along with the 100mio+ ISK some players offer for a subscription. I'm constantly broke and can barely afford skills. Hope that'll change now that i learned salvaging 3. Well, on the other hand maybe it's good to start "old school", making my own couple of ISK and getting a solid relation to the market and values.
See you out there, take care
I did the same thing a year ago...did the 14 day trail...and in 2 hours I had 3 accounts.....been playing ever since. I always say...."EVE is crack...."
The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps!

you should have waited for your trial to expire before buying, give yourself more free time :P
i been back and forth to eve scince the beginning, i always get bored and quit, even in 0.0 space....maybe i'll come back in the year 4000 when they impliment the walking in stations (Ambulation) expansion...
Actually I believe the trial is extended for you when you sub..
Ill confirm that today, but thats my understanding.
Glad to see another person out there who has given EVE a second chance and happy. I have been on the fence with many MMO's over the past year and sadly, have just ditched a beta test simply because Im really friggin tired of the fantasy genre MMO's. With that being said, I started to wonder what would catch my fancy away from elves and wizards, and the one thing that I kept thinking about was EVE. I played for about a year awhile back and left in retrospect because of the people I was playing with. Didnt realize it at the time, but it had nothing to do with the game itself, as it is very emersive and rich. Now Im petitioning to get my old account back so I can jump back in! Very excited about it too. EVE is a great game for those with patience and determination. It will definitely reward those who invest in the open opportunities. Did someone say 'you've got mail?' is that eve support calling? ...Cant wait to get back in to the open black sea of space! See you ingame OP!
