Argent Tornament, it will be a arena base setting but we will face the previous bosses we had encountered all from azeroth to TBC. That means 5 man argent tornaments will consist of fighting level 80 boss versions of those like Van cleef etc. 25 mans will face a level 80 25 man ragnaros.

     um...yipee ?

It's better to lurk in forums and be thought a fool...than to endlessly "Quote" and remove all doubts.

A decent way to remind the population of their past conquests and experiences...that there is a lot more to WoW, that the lev 80 areas

seems to me like the only way to get people interested in the old bosses scince they made fighting them obsolete now.

    just my 2 cents here

at the start of BC i was in my prime as a tanking warrior  i had established myself very highly in the world rankings MTing for inner sanctum as bc went on and on i found myself sliping out of the hardcore rankings and finaly left IS to persue new ventures becuase the game had become slightly less hardcore and what was known as "hardcore" was simply to easy for me so as time went on i came to relise that blizzard were killing there own lore to put it swiftly (and this is only my veiw i dont know how many share it)

but when BC came out blizz should have implimented 2 seperate talent trees for each class denoteing there hero classes i.e. warriors could become beserkers..hunters..demon hunters etc etc..so i kept this to the back of my mind and i still do today.

when WOTLK was announced i thought that blizz muight manage to reel back into my good books with the lore side of things with the arthas story line seeing as it is one of the well known and hugely advanced storys of warcraft...they didnt

and to add insult to injury (again just my veiw) the indroduced the death knight...for me this was the final nail in the coffin for me..the death knight was now readily available to everyone and every class...destroying the lore (again just my veiw)

so i hung up my sword and sheild and and logged out my good freind abbedon for the last time with great sadness.

(bear with me there is a point to this i just thought you should see my points first before i explain the post and the question)

anyway...the past 2 weeks i have really been itchy to get back to wow even thought the destruction of it (my veiw) is still there but so are my freinds and quite frankly i miss playing with them.

BUT (and here it is) i dont know why i have not seen this before till i read this post and the patch notes of the argent arena...i think blizzard are slapping on the band aids now...the hype and longtevity of WOTLK i feel has slowed down alot faster than they predicted..so im going to make a very small prediction here that the next big thing blizz anounce will be *deep breath* a new hero class dum dum dum

so to sum this whole post up in one question...are blizzard starting to turn away from wow a little? and slapping on band aids on an open wound?

sorry to hijack the thread but i think this seems appropriate and given the extend and open mindedness most mmorpg.com forum posters i think this is a good disscussion to have :)

    thanks for reading

    But only in future expansions.
I don't see anything about redoing old bosses in patch 3.2 ?!?!
    So sneaker ???

As far as I know (nda ) it is one of the possibilities on the table. without breaking anything I can say that the argent tournament will offer many things that most don't expect. It is one of the 3 cards in the sleeve that blizzard holds to offer new content on a regular basis  without the need to build dungeons constantly.

I might (would probably) resub if they did something like this.  WoW is a good game but I'm sitting out this xpac.

I guess it will be a new fight for alot of the newbies who never actually did mc or bwl back before they made the game into the laughable raid experience it is now probly the only way half of the newbs who raid now could actually ever kill those bosses would be in the new casual raid friendly wow environment it is today. You sure didn't see newbie pugs pugging bwl back in the day now they pug all end game content what a joke raiding has became in wow.
