Hey all, don't think it's been discussed here and since I'm fron England and gotta wait, guess it doesn't even apply to me, I'm just wondering who of you who are playing, after getting to a reasonably high level, will be annoyed when Blizzard comes along and implements the Hero classes and you find out that either you had picked your class assuming it would lead to a certain Hero but guessed incorrectly, find out none of the Hero classes for your current character take your interest or you just plain didn't know?
Would've thought that before retail they'd at least have given a hint or two other than leaving you to assume from the previous Warcraft titles, anyway, what's your opinion?

You'll just have to assume a bit for the moment. And why depent it al on your Hero class, your main class is still the most important. I.E. A warrior won't get the Archmage hero class, and a Mage won't get the Demon Hunter or something like that, get my point?

Well, I do get your point but even if for example you liked being a Warrior, you might not like the Hero choice you'd have to make, some other Hero class might have appealed to you more.
And most I'd assume would even choose their class based on how it will play endgame, I bet some people have chosen Night Elf Hunter in the hope of becoming a Demon-Hunter and they might be pretty pissed off if they found out when Blizzard comes along.. that you should have made a Night Elf Warrior instead for example.
Well, probably anyway, that's why I asked this question, heh.
well to be honest i never considered hero class when picking to be a tauren shaman.... this is actually the first time i've given it any thought and i have no idea what they would be. i'm not vrey concerned with hero class because i figure the regular class is whats more important seeing as how you play with that longer and don't even have to take a hero class (i think) if you don't want to. some people may endup angry about who gets what hero class but whats the worst that happens to them, they have to make a new character?? i mean this is a game where you kinda are expected to play a few different classes.... just my two cents anyway

to be honest with you i never even considered my hero class. I mean the hero classes are implemented and to be honest with you no one even knows if there going to implemented are we sure that this isnt another case where someone heard in a wishlist that heros would be available at like level 50 or something. and then decided that it was true. or what? i Picked a warlock to play a warlock. if You liked playing your class then the Hero will just make it better. as i mean like one of the Previous posters has said that the hero will match the class. If you want a specific Hero then you`ll just have to start again. i mean common i`m a level 20 and have only played for about a week lol . if you that upset just start a new character. this time you`ll know what your quests are. lol
Any Who just what i think

Well I actually think you would actually be playing the Hero class more, even if level 40-60 isn't as long as 1-40 which I probably expect it will be going from other games you would still be playing them after the grind, right? (levels I said were just an assumption from the info floating around)
Maybe you can stick with your original rather than be a Hero class, I wouldn't really expect that you can do that but it's a possibility of course.
And yeah, having to start anew cause of a choice you weren't given info on is the worst thing that can happen.
I seem to be getting defensive even though it shouldn't effect me since I have to wait till they go and translate for the other EU countries, heh, weird. I just know it would bug me if I was playing it right now.
"And yeah, having to start anew cause of a choice you weren't given info on is the worst thing that can happen."
How would that be . there are plenty of things that are worse than that. What are we really looking at another month of gaming lol. i mean this game never gets old. so you have to start another class so what. you have the experience of the original class. and you have the ability to play your other character as the limit to the number of character on one server per player i havent seen yet.
Besides this is not about Hero this is about kicking the horde`s @$$ lol isnt it? you dont buy a game or play something saying that well if i dont get this result the whole thing is a waste of time. becasue if you do you might as well stop playing games.

Some people put alot into their character, grow attached to them etc, that's what I meant, not meaning to sound like if the apocolypse would happen the day after I'd just grab a beer and not care. And having to ditch that character cause you wouldn't be happy with them at endgame would be a bad thing, right?
Hopefully Blizzard thought it all out before hand, and noone will feel they made the wrong choice.
As of right now, I am having too much to fun even worry about a Hero class.

Blizzard is probably smart enough to make the Hero Classes available to what needs/wants them. If I picked a mage from the get-go, I probably wanted to use offensive magic. I doubt they'll stack offensive magic onto a healer class. Classes have very much to do with playing style ^^

Ok, guess I'm in a minority, not that it even affects me but what Hero you eventually pick apparently won't bother you cause they'll go with the current playstyle of your char, fair enough.
Not sure how that goes with Demon-Hunter from Hunter (which the rumour suggests) but other than that, fine. I'm betting it's Night Elf Warrior or there's a chance it might be Rogue.
