You have got to be kidding me. The game is still a shell of a game as it was in beta. I love how thwy re always trying to convince people it s such a good game. If it is it will sell itself. Nothing. We need a better class of haters here.
I would like to see all haters/trolls beeing thrown into a cooking pan or something, then boiled for hours until only the crystals are left. Maybe that would give us some good haters here to argue with : )

Still playing after 9WEEKS and still love Darkfall and its improving a lot sinds launch but its a nich game for small part of gaming community that love free for all pvp and full loot plus higher LEARNING CURVE, if you like that then Darkfall is for you:)

The rule set had no bearing on my decision to quit the game.
I simply was unimpressed with the simplicity of combat in that for the first month you can really only do 3 things - slash, bow, mana missile. The controls are also way to clunky as games released 10 years ago are much more fluid.
Additionally, the rampant macroing and exploiting pretty much ruined the game right out of the gate for me since they destroyed any chance for a level playing field.
The final issue is that all of the non-pvp activities like harvesting, crafting, skilling up, and travelling are extremely monotonus and boring, so rather then waste my time I simply would log out and play something more interesting.
If the combat had more options and was more fluid, or in other words felt like something released in the last decade, then I probably would re-sub, but I doubt it will ever happen.
I'm still playing darkfall after 6 weeks and so far its the best game i have played since neocron (which was also hacked to bits by its players). Its like UO++. i accept it has problems but really that how MMO's are. I was put off by the price tag but its been money well spent.
I can see why some people hate it, but i stopped playing eve early on for similar reasons and regretted it later. I stopped reading the darkfall forums years ago because they were making up a idea of a game that would never exist. I like the game they shipped, however everyone else that i know from our guild can not play it. Its too harsh and thats why i like it.
Well after EXPANSION game improved alot im now almost playing 5MONTHS and i still love the game:)
Its still need a lot of fixing and cheaters are still ingame doing there nasty things but i have hope for Darkfall.
After expansion game looks much better now with dynamic weather system they improved on rain a little , chaoschest a FUN and bring alot players into open world more small scale pvp!
Village are realy nice addition to:)
Darkfall is a MUST HAVE for every respected FREE FOR ALL player who also like FULL LOOT and Clan Town RAIDS!
I play SOLO for 5 months now and its a VALID gamestyle in Darkfall specially now with village if you can get your hands on Deed:)

Played for 4 months and threw in the towel due to the amatuerish coding and limited game scope.

Glad you enjoy it while it lasts, unfortunately I don't see any longevity with the limited number of subs and the huge debt that Av has to pay off. Negative cash flow only leads to one thing and it is not spelled S U C C E S S.

Yes you read it right, im playing it now for six weeks SOLO and its alot fun! I play around 8 hours a day everyday of week and i do 2 days harvesting/crafting trading, 2 days of exploring/pvp and again harvest/craft explore/pvp! Im mahirim playing the lore so i mostly go to nagast and rubaiyat and middle of agon ive been killed alot but i also kill many. I dont macro or exploit at all i still manage to kick some ass there mostly same as me offcorse but when i encounter armored oponents they kick my ass but i dont care. I slowly grow my skills ill eventually will catch up with macroers and exploiters. Darkfall is great and fun even tho it still have its faults bugs and not all implemented its still alot of fun:)

Yea, not reading through the whole thread first 3 pages were troll's replying. Anyways I started about 3 weeks ago, and love the game still. Started a small clan on NA-1 and have about 30 members all being active(active is better than number imo), we are taking our first city on Tuesday night. Most complaints about DF seem to be the "infinite grind" I honestly just play the game and have not macro'd once. I have killed quite a few and lost a few fights, there will always be someone "better" than you in any MMORPG on the market so why bother macroing? Anyways I am having fun .

i find it funny the that OP said he plays 8 hours a day and still cant catch up to macroers...
i will most likely get DF, as fps style games are fun, plus mmo and full loot.. but i am waiting till the game gets fixed
