Of course the game seems decent, you've played it for what seems like less than 8 hour
Just wait until a month or so and see how excited you are by the vertical slash, gathering resources, skilling magic and the dozens of other boring monotonus tasks that you must engage in.

So far, every title I've played is full of monotonus timesinks, some games are just better at masking them and calling them something else than others, but when it boils down to it, that's what it is. Gathering in Darkfall so far has to be one of the most mind-numbing processes because of how long you can use a node and the amount of fails, thank God it's an automated process, tho, and I can watch TV, read, or do whatever when I go on a gathering session.
I've dumped in over 25 hours so far, it still isn't much, but I have learned, and become accustomed to a little bit more of what Darkfall is. I still couldn't tell you how much I'm enjoying it, if I'll continue to play until the end of the free month, or what have you, but I haven't wanted to /wrist yet, so it's not all completely horrible and bad and smelly and yucky. And yes, I know, I know, just wait until I play for another week or so before I make up my mind, and if you read every post I've done on this thread, that's exactly what I'm doing.
Some highlights of my day included watching the mounted and shiny armored guys slay eachother all around my poor little Goblin camps, and me looting them and stocking completely up on shiny armors and weapons. That made up for my three hours of chopping wood, molesting these little bushes with my sickle, and running everywhere trying to find an Iron node that wasn't tapped. I didn't like the train of 4 fellow miners that followed me from metal node to metal node, tho.
Joined Blood and have been seeing tons of familiar names from my AC days. Tired of the noobie outposts, really want to head out to one of the guild towns or whatever, not sure if my sexy little Kitty/Doggy (whatever he is) man is ready, tho. Hmmmm.

Well Blood is finally up for some fighting, after what 3 months of farming and building their defences.
The fight versus the goons should be pretty sweet.

Yeah, seemed like I joined at quite the interesting time as far as all that is concerned. Too bad I'm too scrubby to be of any use.
Well, a little update, not that anyone will really care. But, so far, still have been enjoying my time in the game. Joining a larger clan opened up a lot of the game for me.
I have yet to run into anyone who hacks. I see people macroing all the time, but that's not really much of a culture shock, and most of the people in the guild city doing it are attended during the day, tho at night I believe that scenario changes quite a bit, haha. Haven't seen anyone actually exploiting yet, however I've heard the complaints about a number of them. But regardless, their macroing doesn't effect my gameplay, just like on oldschool AC. As long as it was attended, I couldn't care less. The exploiters/hackers have stayed clear of me so far, so I can't complain about something I haven't experienced.
I've managed to get my melee up to around 45ish, archery and some of the magic to around 45ish as well. Nothing spectacular, but I have been finding myself able to participate in more PVP and not get completely demolished by arrows and magic. The patch yesterday I support, tho I haven't been in the game much, it didn't bother me, and the change is welcome. Plus, the increase on the magic gains are amazing compared to what they were.
So far I haven't really had any bad experience, at all, which is pretty surprising to me. Aside from the sound bugs yesterday after the patch for a short period of time, everything has seemed really smooth, and still remains solid to me. Of course there's some things I don't like, that's a given, but in my experience the good has outweighed the bad so far. The game is extremely playable, and plays at a pace I'm comfortable with.
I still am unsure if I'll stay or not. I'm not praising Darkfall as the greatest MMO of all time. But it has been enjoyable to me, so far. It's more than what I expected, for sure. Guess we'll see how the rest of the month goes.
DF has been anything but stable with people losing mounts, ships and all sorts of time invested due to server crashes and even shutdowns.
Just people you've read complaints on forums doesn't mean you know for a fact what the server stability is like. you'd have to play the game for yourself. I read complaints about most game servers such as WAR, AoC etc. Darkfalls is probably the most stable than those mentioned from my own experiences, especially when all are compared at launch.
So you are asking me to trust you, or trust the thousands of people complaining about DF servers in every site, including DF site. I think I know which side looks more trustworthy.
Darkfall for me: Best game in the world, and the worst game in the world. 75% of the game is learning, not just the mechanics, but the people. As you learn, you start being able to avoid the worse parts more, and spend more time in the best parts. The worst parts are really fucking bad. But, they only make the best parts really, really good. What other game out there damn near gives you a heart attack when you see your shadow? That's what gaming is all about. for me anyway. Not just a game that scares you, but one that is actually able to pull "real" feelings out of you. Fuck yeah! Just like there a horror movies that scare you, and comedies that make you laugh. Darkfall is a game for people who like to experience it all, rather than a game that tries and cut all negatives from it...which ends up leaving you numb most of the time. Don't get me wrong though. The bad parts..are bad. There's many times i say, "this is just stupid". Many times ive said, "fuck this game". But, everytime I log on the next day. We spend 20 minutes to an hour telling stories from the previous night. Most of them we end up dead, but we laugh and cry our asses off. Every night is the beginning of a story. Thats why I play this game atm.
How does playing Darkfall scare you..? And what does "Experience it all"... mean?
Have you ever played any other online FPS games.. ever? Just curious, as to why you feel no other game can bring your friends together..?
"No they are not charity. That is where the whales come in. (I play for free. Whales pays.) Devs get a business. That is how it works."

These is MMORPG forums, the poster you quoted don't have to discuss any FPS game out there.
For the MMO genre is DarkFall exceptional in bringing friends together. The experience you share with friends is very rich and multifarious.

I agree with that, before i bought the game Ive read this and DF forum, and it was doom and gloom from the vocal minority. But i thought f**k them i will buy the game anyway. Darkfall is actually pretty fun game despite its short comings offering unique combat system that no other RPG does AND you can actually use real stealth in this game which is definitly refreshing!, its only been out for 3 months so i am not worried.

Actually if you're talking about RPG's then we can go waaaaay back to the early 90's and get the exact same style of combat.
More recently you have Oblivion and Fallout 3. Both these RPG's give you FPS combat.
So no, DFO is far from unique in it's combat as far as RPG's go. Games have been doing it for almost 20 years now.
It's also not unique in MMO's either.
FoM came out a few years ago and uses FPS combat. It's combat was actually much better concieved then DFO's, but the game it'self not so good. Actually the game itself was VERY much like DFO. It lacked barely any content. The game eventually shut down and went back into development.
Planetside has been around for several years as well. It too has FPS combat.
The Chronicles of Spellborne released recently and also uses FPS type mechanics for combat, and does so in a way I've never actually seen before. Good or bad I can't say, I didn't mind it, but it's going to be left up to the market to deside.
Of the three games mentioned above, only one falls in the catagory of unique.

You seem to not understand the difference between twitch-based mechanics, active swings and dodges, and what FPS actually is. There is no first person at all in Spellborn, anywhere, at all. And no mechanics resemble it, because the entire game is third person. A crosshair doesn't make the system remotely near to a FPS. Spellborn's mechanics resemble AOC more than any other game in terms of the melee combat; combos, etc. What's horrible about it is ranged attacks have no travel time, if you're aiming at someone with a bow, you're going to hit them.
And you know he wasn't just talking about RPGs when the whole discussion has been about Darkfall, which is an MMORPG. Planetside offered FPS combat yes, but in a completely different spin than Darkfall.
Out of all the three games you listed, and the one you claimed was an FPS and unique, wasn't. This isn't a Spellborn discussion, but it's another linear theme park with horrible quests the entire way through. XP rates off, the majority (and I mean majority) of the skills are bugged, or not working as intended, the quests are bugged, mobs are unattackable until server resets, still getting crashes every time you zone in a group.
I mean, that game, the quality level at launch, is worse than Darkfall is. Acclaim butchered the billing system. And then you got to think, the game actually launched over 6 months ago retail and there are STILL the bugs that exist in the game. There's no content at end-game, there's Exarch at level 20. The House vs House mechanics are completely borked, there's no way to fix the imbalances with each house population, and with like 5+ houses, there's going to be some that only have a handful of players, and they're going to have a fairly miserable time getting stomped repeatedly by every other house. You also need a fairly decent population for the end-game of Spellborn, something that it lacks. A month or so after launch the servers are deserted, regardless of what anyone says, the population it has now will not support the House vs House system that is their endgame.
And to top it off, there's no FPS involved at all. It just has active swinging, and semi-active dodging. I say semi-active because all you have to do is strafe out of the way, which you can do in Darkfall and AOC. The only thing that sets Spellborn apart is it's Skilldeck, and until you unlock every spot in it, you can't even appreciate it for the depth inside of it. But those first 25-ish levels, it's just another rotating hotbar that limits you in certain situations.
Darkfall offers a variety of forms of combat. Well, it offers the FPS combat, and the 3rd person active swing/dodge combat. Spellborn offers active swings and dodging, Planetside was an actual shooter, and FOM was lol. Spellborn PVP is just a cluster of people jumping around randomly and using as much ranged attacks as possible. Not to mention how horrible that game performs if you get 25+ people fighting in PVP. I don't see a promising future for their House vs House combat, which right now is their endgame that doesn't exist, when the game is a slideshow with 25 people on a rig that runs AOC completely maxed.
Spellborn
Active dodging and swinging similar to AOC? Check.
Pointless arena system that kills world PVP, like WOW? Check.
Linear gameplay with absolutely horrible quests? Check.
No end-game content at all released at launch when the majority of playerbase was 50 already from the beta? Check.
Horrible performance when any medium-scale PVP takes place? Check.
End-game mechanics that require a robust population, something the game will never have? Check.
Completely horrible bugs that have been around for the better part of a year on a live client on the game? Check.
Then you gotta go on about how horrible the UI is, the fact the fonts don't scale and at my resolution it's virtually unreadable. The fact it's taking this long to have a quest tracker added. I mean, Spellborn is just like every other MMO out, just without a severe gear grind, and semi-active combat with no targets (something more and more games are doing, so it's not unique).
yea great, you say you have not played long enough to write a review yet you still write one with little game time.. says it all really along with the tittle.. if it was against ya better judgement then it would be a crap game wouldnt it? or is ya Better judgment crap ?

Do you have any idea what a review is? When did I give a rundown of everything the game offered? Did I talk on sieges, performance, anything? No, I've been giving you my experience so far, which is not a review. It's an overview of my time ingame so far. And you obviously lack any sort of comprehension at all to the title of the thread, and what my point of the thread even was.
And, now I've put over 80 hours into the game, and my opinions still stand. It's good so far, I haven't experienced enough to write a review, but it's not horrible. I probably won't stay past the free month.
So, since you read my thread, obviously, you would of seen all that before hand.

3rd person or 1st person shooter only pertains to the possition of the camera.
I stopped caring about in which way you see the world many years ago.
3rd person or 1st person doesn't matter. They work off the exact same mechanic.
Point crosshair at target, use action key.
Both 3rd persona and 1st person shooters are classified as twitch.
Twich because movement/ positioning is taken into account.
Just because DFO forces 3rd person in melee and 1st person in ranged means nothing when comparing the two games.
That's only the view the devs chose to use for that aspect of the game.
Both TCoS and DFO are twitch based.
Twitch based is basically FPS MECHANICS. Which most times I will take the time to type MECHANICS, other times I'm lazy and don't feel like typing MECHANICS after every FPS.
Gears of war.
FPS in 3rd person. It's a 3rd person shooter. If they had put it into 1st person it would have been the same game. 3rd person allowed them to do a few things with terrian. Like sticking to objects for hiding and cover. It's still FPS mechanics.
Rainbow 6 is an FPS that uses 1st person. They revert camera to 3rd person for the purpos of sticking to objects like walls for ducking and cover. It's an FPS game though.
Oblivion uses 1st and 3rd person. It's player choice. I can play entirely in 1st person or 3rd person, or switch back and forth. It still uses FPS mechanics.
DFO uses FPS mechanics regardless of the camera possition and is not unique in this regard.
TCoS uses FPS mechanics regardless of it's camera position and IS unique in the way they did combat.
We're not talking about apples and oranges here.
You manual aim, execute attack. Camera position means very little. Except in the case of DFO it completely destroys melee combat, and degrades it into a bunch of sprint running and button spamming. Something TCoS managed to avoid.
Twitch based is basically FPS MECHANICS. Which most times I will take the time to type MECHANICS, other times I'm lazy and don't feel like typing MECHANICS after every FPS.
You are wrong, my friend. Asheron's Call was the most twitch-based MMO I've played and the mechanics were nothing like you just described, no aiming at all. So no, twitch based combat is NOT just the mechanics you listed. And your definitions for twitch and FPS are completely wrong.
FPS = First Person Shooter. So unless the game functions exactly like a FPS, it's not a FPS. The point of view is everything, it offers didn't strategy for you and the other people, it completely changes the gameplay, thus influencing the mechanics.
What you're saying is that if you move, and have to aim at all, it's an FPS. You're wrong. Most of those games are considered action RPGs. FPS is a shooter, and plays out just like what it's called, a shooter in first person. TCOS plays like an action RPG. You, my friend, are mistaken.
Gears of War is an action RPG. Go into a game store and tell them you're looking for the God of War FPS edition -- I gurantee they won't stop laughing.

What is doom?
Quake?
CoD?
CS?
Day of Defeat?
Team Fortress?
FPS, First person shooters.
FPS works off of TWITCH mechanics. Twitch mechanics require player timing and reaction, the staple of any FPS based game.
I repeat.
I don't use FPS to indicate it's purely 1st PoV. I'm saying that it uses Twitch based mechanics ala a shooter type gameplay. Regardless of the positioning of the camera.
3rd person shooters are also twitch based. As aposed to a game like Dynasty warriors or Gods of War wich would be more along the lines of hack and slash.
Action games is a term to also descripe FPS games. FPS games exist within a genre considered action games. Action games are Twitch based games that rely on plyer timing and reaction. FPS as a twich based game requres player timeing and reaction to manual aim and evade.
DFO and TCoS both use twitch based gameplay. Action gameplay that requires you to manual aim and evade.
In essence they both use FIRST PERSON SHOOTER STYLE MECHANICS. They DO NOT both use FIRST PERSON POINT OF VIEW.
If you aren't comprehending what I'm saying here.
FIRST PERSON POINT OF VIEW IS NOT RELEVENT WHEN I'M DESCRIBING THE STYLE OF COMBAT MECHANIC THAT IS USED IN THESE GAMES. DFO uses FPS style combat, twitch gameplay, action gameplay. Exactly as TCoS does. The ONLY dif. is that one game changes your view between fps PoV and 3rd person PoV while the other leaves you in 3rd person PoV. Both require you to manual aim and evade.
I'm not talking about literal definitions of FPS here!
Once again. We're not comparing aples and orangles. You're arguing over symantics here.
Do they both manually aim? Yes.
Do they both require you to evade attacks? Yes.
Do FPS games do the same thing? Yes.
Are these the staple of FPS mechanics? Yes.
Am I not being clear enough on were I'm coming from?
Aparently not.
Either that or you just want to argue for the sake of arguing.

I'm going with the later.
Answer one question for me.
Is Rainbow Six: Vegas an FPS game?
Listen guy, I'm completely tired of you by now. You're not understanding what I'm saying in the first place. I was correcting you for getting your definition mixed up, which it is. Why? Because it's FPS. First Person Shooter -- you said Spellborn was one, I said there was no elements in it at all. And then you want to try to tell me why YOU have YOUR definition of FPS, knowing that you're throwing the term around loosely.
You said God of War was a FPS. Then above, you said it's borderline hack and slash. Listen to me, when you're talking to someone about games, and you say a game is an FPS, you are saying it is a first person shooting game. Not a twitch based game. You're throwing the term around incorrectly and just won't fess up for it. You keep defending why you call twitch gaming FPS gaming. Then you said that twitch gaming required manual aim. I told you Asheron's Call was twitch based without aim, and you changed your definition for twitch based gaming again.
I don't care why you think God of War, or any other ACTION title, or even Spellborn, is a FPS. The bottom line is, it's not. Does it involve twitch movement to be successful? Yes. Does that make it twitch? No. I've played space shooter games that required twitch movement. But guess what, it wasn't a FPS. And if I advertised it as so, I would be wrong.
If you're not talking about the "literal" definition of FPS, you're talking about your own, in which case, I don't care what it is. You could write an entire book on why you call it that, but you're wrong when it comes down to the literal sense, and that's what I'm talking about. You made a reply and stated Spellborn was an MMORPG with FPS elements, just like Darkfall. You stated it is a fact, you never said, "I'm not being literal, it's my definition, it's my own term I'm throwing around loosely" -- you stated it like it was a game that had actual FPS elements just like Darkfall, and it doesn't.
Every video game requires movement to be successful. Even Mario Brothers on the NES can be considered twitch -- you gotta watch out for the turtles, all that. But guess what. It's not an FPS. It's a side-scrolling adventure game. Just like God of War is an action RPG. Those are the actual STYLE of games.
There's no need to call God of War an FPS. It's completely not, you know that, you said you weren't meaning it literally. It has it's own title inside the genre, it's called an action RPG. And if you look up any other action RPG, it will play and handle very similar to God of War. Can you tell me why? Because it's an action RPG.
ANY game where you have to damage another person requires movement, and twitching in some way, shape, or form. As long as the spells and ranged attacks aren't auto-guided like WOW's arrows and magic, you'll want to avoid them. The fact that you have to move to avoid them does not make it an FPS, nor does that mean it shares any qualities to an FPS.
There are different titles for different styles of games for a reason. Pirates, Vikings, Knights 2 offers melee combat. Does that mean it's a hack and slash or an action RPG? No. It means it has melee combat. I mean seriously. I buy a hamburger with tomatoe on it, does that make it a whopper? No? But what about if I called everyone that anyways? Would I be wrong? Yep. But what if I told people, "I don't mean an actual whopper, I just mean it has a tomatoe" -- there's no sense in it. You're overcomplicating the english language, and distorting the actual definitions of something that has "FIRST PERSON" in the title for no reason. There's things called adventure games, action RPGs, those are the things you want to compare your stuff too.
You realize Gears of War is a shooter, right? You realize it's not an FPS? You realize they don't advertise it as an FPS for a reason? But why? It requires twitch based gameplay to move around and not get hit, AND it has guns. IT MUST BE AN FPS.
I'm done with this conversation. Thank you for contributing in the further derailing of my thread for such a silly discussion.

FPS and hack and slash. These games are also sometimes considered twitch as long as it requires players to aim and evade.
If you're not talking about the "literal" definition of FPS, you're talking about your own, in which case, I don't care what it is. You could write an entire book on why you call it that, but you're wrong when it comes down to the literal sense, and that's what I'm talking about. No, I'm talking about the MECHANIC. The combat MECHANICS used in DFO and TCoS are the same ones used in FPS games. I don't care what the PoV is. DFO uses FPS for 2/3rds of it's combat. TCoS never puts you in 1st person, but if you took the character out of the sceen the game would play EXACTLY the same as if it was there. It playes EXACTLY like an FPS game because it uses the EXACT same fps MECHANICS.
You're not comprehending. It's TWITCH BASED.
Again I'm talking about a MECHANIC.

The fact that you have to move to avoid them does not make it an FPS, nor does that mean it shares any qualities to an FPS. Here's a definition of twitch gameplay: Twitch gameplay is a type of computer or video gameplay that tests a player's reaction time and precision. Action games such as first-person shooters are typically composed of twitch gameplay. However, other genres can involve twitch gameplay as well. For example, Tetris is a puzzle video game that gradually speeds up as the player makes progress. Twitch gameplay keeps players actively engaged with quick feedback to their actions, as opposed to turn-based gaming that involves waiting for the outcome of a chosen course of action. Twitch can be used to expand tactical options and play, test skill in various areas (usually reflexive responses) and generally add difficulty (relating to the intensity of "twitching" required). Yes, Mario can be considered twitch. Player reaction and timing is needed.
Yep. I'm done with this conversation. Thank you for contributing in the further derailing of my thread for such a silly discussion. Welcome to a public forum boss.
To Consensus: No I do not intend to test the game, in order to form an opinion. General information already suggested that this game is poison to me. I really need to kill myself to be sure poison does really poison? You can enjoy it, that is your claim. I can formulate my own views without the need to endure the stupidity of getting involved. Having to test everything first handed is not bravery or wise, it is called lacking in a priori judgment.
To Crinstina1: I come from a long way in terms of online games, I play on Total Entertainment Network in early 90s, when they host turn based games. I play on Apple and XTs where RPG was really "ROLE" PG. All these DF gimmicks are old tricks to me. First person view, EQ has it and was once far more hardcore. You need to shut off your screen and look at your spell book as a caster when you meditate for mana in EQ, during the early days. That is hardcore, you can be killed while medding and you won't even know. Aiming and shoot? Oh many stupid apple days arcane games need that. Even the stupid console games involves pointing and shooting, back in late early 90s. Nothing DF actually delivered is great, the only great things are the early conception (or wild claims) of DF which never gets implemented. DF attracts me b/c of what it claims in its early days. DF is poison to me now b/c all it delivered is poor implementation of some randomly selected old features, tied to a very obnoxious general gaming community. Not that you need fancy innovation to enjoy a game. You can enjoy DF, sure. I can enjoy playing packman or even playing poker when BBQing at home. And poker is old. But it is fun, DF is not, for me.
If I need FPS there are millions of successful titles. DF is NOT one. If I need ffa PVP, I already have enuf in UO, and have seen enuf of the abuses, I do not need another DF to relive the ordeal. If I need a crap abusive immature community, just go downtown, hit the "famed" streets, at night. If I need those spinning DF "hardcores" as company, I just need to hit a mental rehab centre. Oh seriouisly, if I want good PVP organised PVP, siege and such, DAoC already showed us how it can be done. Far, far better than DF. I have been thru all that, I do not see how DF measures up in any single dimension.
To Synthetik: I do not care about your dictionary approach to defining DF as unique or whatever. The single most unique thing on earth is shit, as mine is chemically different from yours. Punt intended. I play a game to enjoy, I still play Street fighter and poker, chess, and none of those are unique. They are fun. I do not need to be special or feel unique when gaming, its gaming time and I want to relax and be as "un-unique" as I need be. I am unique enuf at work, having to deal with enuf snorts and events.
What is DF? Simple, its a ffa pvp with full loots. Nothing else. And it comes at a huge price, from bad developer to bad game community, to cheats to hacks to bugs to ... . Is it worth going thru hell and chainsaws, just to enjoy ffa pvp with full loot. NO, a BIG NO, for me. Not worth it at all. Not to mention paying. I won't do it, even if I am paid handsomely. I value my sanity more than salary.
As for reviews, I do not care if he write it 2 hours or 2 years into the game. I only read it for information, for interesting observatioins, for verifiable ideas and not sweeping statement or total nonsense spins found in many DF fans, Darth, javac, and the few. Those fans can claim they played a year, and yet nothing they wrote leave a mark on me after reading, only thing they leave behind is bad taste. This OP review to me is too superficial, and in a way, preformed opinion. Nothing wrong with that. Just another opinion I read and take note of. If he comes up with something new and interest later on, I will read again and evaluate.

When did I ever ge tinto a debate about whether something is unique or not? I never even attempted to discuss about whether my character was unique, or if I wanted to feel unique in the game, or if I could make my character unique through armor or character progression.
I'm getting tired of having to come back and defend my post against people who don't even comprehend what the post was intended for. You spew some three page article explaining why my review was flawed, but that's just it. It wasn't a review. I was never even coming close to attempting to try to review the game. If anything, I was giving you an overview of my experience so far. The experience from someone who never followed the game, or even had a desire to try it until my spur of the moment deicision. As a matter of fact, let's take a look at the definition of "review":
1. a critical article or report, as in a periodical, on a book, play, recital, or the like; critique; evaluation.
2. the process of going over a subject again in study or recitation in order to fix it in the memory or summarize the facts.
Never once in my OP, or in my following replies, did I attempt to evaluate the game in any sort of form. Never did I attempt to rank the game, never did I attempt to give an overview of the features in the game. I never touched on crafting, sieging, basic PVP, anything, other than my first few hours in the starter area. Never did I attempt to evaluate the game as a whole. I said many, many times in my OP that I wasn't reviewing the title. And for someone to think I was attempting to, after I clearly did not cover even close to 50% of what content is in the game, I'm beginning to question the intelligence, and reading comprehension level of many of you.
You feel like you have to tell me what your view on Darkfall is, and why mine are wrong. HEY, stop. I'm not telling you if I think Darkfall is a 5 star game or not. I was telling you what I experienced upon logging in. I was telling you that yes, Darkfall is different from virtually ever other popular mainstream MMO right now (which is true). Whether it's good or not, I never said. I said I doubt it'll even hold me past this month. How do you take that as me giving a review of the game, and that I gave it a good one, at that.
I'm guilty of saying I wasn't repulsed when I logged in. I'm guilty of saying the combat and everything was smoother than I orginally thought from videos. I said the game isn't as OMGWTFBAD as everyone said it is. I said people are too overly critical of the game. But that's it. People are too overly critical of WOW, too, and I put that on the very bottom of my list. Trust me on that one.
So aside from derailing my thread, because your entire reply wasn't even relevant, are you any different from me? You ACTUALLY attempted to review Darkfall. You even said, "here is what Darkfall" is -- something I never did. Hell, I don't even know if you played it or not. I didn't read any other replies you posted, or remember them if you posted any, but you said there that you didn't test the game. If you didn't, who is the one that actually came in with a "preformed review?" It sure wasn't me.
My opinion coming into Darkfall was that it was going to be completely horrible, couldn't log in and stomach playing for more than 5 minutes. Everything was going to be broken, mobs were going to take 500000 hours to find. If I came in with a preformed review, that would of been it, don't you think?
My opinion so far is still, Darkfall isn't horrible. Will it ever be huge, and really succeed? I doubt it. There's nothing in the game other than harvesting, and PVP. And most of the time is spent harvesting just to gear up. At least, so far for me. Not to mention how hard it is for me to even be able to compete with how high people have their stats, opposed to my 35-40 in the stats that matter, and my 50-ish in the skills/spells that I use. I still find times where I'm having a blast.
And no, that wasn't a mini review. Moderator, lock the thread.

Guess we'll see how the rest of the month goes.
mahirim, well the main difference is its not human.
cool glad your enjoying it.
My blog:
Just people you've read complaints on forums doesn't mean you know for a fact what the server stability is like. you'd have to play the game for yourself. I read complaints about most game servers such as WAR, AoC etc. Darkfalls is probably the most stable than those mentioned from my own experiences, especially when all are compared at launch.
So you are asking me to trust you, or trust the thousands of people complaining about DF servers in every site, including DF site. I think I know which side looks more trustworthy.
How does playing Darkfall scare you..? And what does "Experience it all"... mean?
Have you ever played any other online FPS games.. ever? Just curious, as to why you feel no other game can bring your friends together..?

These is MMORPG forums, the poster you quoted don't have to discuss any FPS game out there.
For the MMO genre is DarkFall exceptional in bringing friends together. The experience you share with friends is very rich and multifarious.

I wasn't asking you to trust me, infact I was saying the opposite. only trust opinions you form yourself, only when you play the game yourself can you have an accurate opinion.

TCoS.

I'm going with the later.
Answer one question for me.
Is Rainbow Six: Vegas an FPS game?

So many long quotes, I am not quoting any more.
