I might have donated my left nut, if would have helped episode I-III look that frakking awesome, and the other if the frakking animated movie looked 1/5th as good.

The trailer did rock and was really well done, comparable to the Lineage II series cinematics -  thats for sure, however, with that being said...I hope the game itself is good and not like GW(instanced) - which I suspect it is.

While even with another company besides soe is doing it , since lucas arts was a part of SWG there is nothing that can guarantee a repeat of CU or NGE will not repeat itself. Or nada guarantee that tons of jedi and BH will be the only focus of this "new" epic story.....

While there will be the die hard fans that eat drink breathe all things star wars. There are those oh maybe 50 - 75 k still angry swg players that will never forget that the game they cared about was taken away as another series battle star galatica stated throughout the series "it happened before it will happen again"...........

Still yet to be known is it twitch based or not. So while the trailer was a fun watch and music inspiring it  is a wait and see what they do with it.

That was pretty damn good, it rivals Blizzard's impeccable dossier for game cinematics.

I'd like to see more on the game itself however.

A CG trailer like this normally costs a studio $300k.  I wish instead they used that money to work on the game.  Bioware really isn't in need with of the advertising, they already have a large fanbase.

They also aren't really in need of money.

Also imo this tops the blizzard cinematics.

Hold on Snow Leopard, imma let you finish, but Windows had one of the best operating systems of all time.

If the Powerball lottery was like Lotro, nobody would win for 2 years, and then everyone in Nebraska would win on the same day.
And then Nebraska would get nerfed.-pinkwood lotro fourms

My sentiments exactly. The best part of that CG was seeing Bioware's name on an MMO .

This is a sequence of characters intended to produce some profound mental effect, but it has failed.

You two sound like a bunch of sour old farts, who gives a fuck just enjoy it for what it is. I'm sick of the obligatory 'I wish they spent that money on the actual game' comments everytime a company releases a cinematic.

Nice cinematics.. I agree. I hope they put as much effort with the game than cinematics.

Wow that did look freaking awesome. It's going to be one of those games you just HAVE to buy and try yourself, like Aion. Even if it does turn out to be a zone based game (like Guild Wars), it should be pretty epic regardless.

I would've preferred to see some actual in-game content. The WAR trailer was also pretty damn well done, but the game was shit. It's not hard to make a good trailer, not compared to making a good MMO.

It looks quite impressive but... How many games have we been totally blown away by a CGI trailer only to find out later that the game itself totally sucked. This trailer although quite cool doesn't tell us a single thing about the game itself so try not to get too excited over it.

Very good video. But since WAR was mentioned.

Anyone else notices that this video follows the exact same formula as the video in WAR where the "evil" side kicks ass while the good guys fight a losing battle again?

It's good to see they've embraced the power of the Dark side with this cinematic.

This website is a safe haven for trolls and haters. I'm done with this pathetic site.

You're currently the only one that sounds like a sour old fart, at this point in time.

Yes, the cinematic is incredible. I'm not really a Star Wars fan, but I do enjoy it for what it is and I thought that the trailer really captured the spirit of Star Wars.

Except, we're not watching a Star Wars movie preview, we're watching a movie for a MMO, not even a single-player RPG. If it were a Single-Player RPG, I would be totally psyched, as you know what you're getting into with that experience. However, it's an MMO.. and it really says squat about the game, even though its a great little sketch.

    Ack.

    Swordfights in space.

It was cool in 1977 when I saw star wars for the first 10 times in the theater.

Now that I'm grown up I can get over how silly it would be to bring nothin more than a melee weapon onto a modern battlefied.

That makes it a fantasy MMO in space, not a sci fi MMO.

They just replaced the goddam elves with the blue tentacle head dudes.

I'll hold out my hope for earthrise I guess.

You know for a decent avatar based sci fi MMO the "Alien" universe would be a lot more plausible than star wars.  Hell even the bastardization of that franchise with the "Alien vs. Predator" plotline migh be interesting as an MMO.

Give the dumbass jedi some guns and I'll try it.

Enkindu fires a small portable thermonuclear device at Wick, vaporizing him, his light saber, and the building he was standing in : )

Oh yeah, and his 10 jedi buddies that were standing around him doing acrobatics with their lil swords : )

    On to the next game!
