I'm a big fan of the stargate series. I wonder how the game is going to do. It sounds like a good idea, but I worry about the implementation. Hopefully they will leave it very open without making it too monotonous, or straying too far from the show its named for.
If you are a big fan then you will be happy to know that they decided to extend to season nine, adding an addtional 20 episodes. SG-1 is now tied with XFiles for longest running sci-fi series. So with the continuation of season 8 in January, a toal of about 35 more episodes will be shown. Damn them! They just want more money. I've already spent almost $450 for seasons 1-7 on DVD.

Those SG-1 season DVDs sure are a killer, I just got them myself. I like to have them on DVD also, even though iv'e watched every aired episode. Kick Ass about season 9.
