Any Closed beta people actually tried starting up the game?

Well, they'll have forums for the beta opening tomorrow, but I figure I might as well ask here. I just finished downloading the game, via the client of course. Nothing seems to happen when I click "Play Now". I was simply wondering if anyone else is having this issue. Is this normal before they actually start this event?

Did you get the beta key from this site just yesterday? If so that's only good for this weekend, but yes, I did try running it even though I knew I couldn't get in yet. How long did you wait? My screen goes black for a little while after I click "Play Now" then goes to the log-in screen. So I'm thinking you should at least get that far. I'm wondering why it told me that my user name and password didn't match when I know they do...I checked it and tried a couple times. I'm hoping it's only saying that because the weekend event didn't start yet. Oh well, I'll try it again this weekend I guess.
The servers aren't online before the 5. of June, therefore nothing will happen if you try to login.
I did not get a login screen when I tried pressing play. I saw the NC Soft logo and then a dll error popped up. Not sure what to do now.
Well i just finished downloading and installing the game and didnt have any problem so far, made it to the login screen and everything is working .
Of course i tried to log in i know server are offline until 5th june, i just got wrong id or password, that means everything is ok. take just 30 sec to my pc to load the game.
i dunno y u guys are having problems.

Same thing I got, so for people who want to know if their install is "working" or not, I think this is what you are looking for.

I had no problems downloading and getting everything installed. I tried logging in just to see what happened (I knew it wasn't going to get far) out of curiosity. I got the user id and password dont match message. Sounds like what most people get when there isn't a problem.
Igot to the login screen but no further
Clicking the Play Now button should launch the game. it takes a bit to run and in my case it had to install some additional gameguard files then the screen went black then the ncsoft screen came up then into the game. I could not get past the username and password screen though.
Make sure you run the game as an administrator if you aren't, at least till your sure it is all patched and stuff. the game may be trying to install game guard patch files and it may not have the permission to do so.

Yes of course, I am playing on a private server right now.
NCsoft will send you an email confirming your account to Aion. So if you're getting 'ID and Password do not match' it hasn't been recognized yet BUT IT WILL. Mine just got recognized through email and now upon logging in I see, 'cannot connect to authorization server.' Just be patient, you still have 2 days to go.
Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm not sure what was happening, but I simply used the "repair" tool where the client checks and verifies all your files and it worked. If anyone is having any sort of problems, try doing this first...it might work for you.
EDIT: But yes, I was simply asking if anyone could actually get to the login screen.
Yes I was. Kinda of a tease. I saw how detailed the Login screen was and almost wet myself.
Hmmm, anyone anywhere have some IN GAME screens?!?!?
