Re Downloading!?

So I started installing the NA Aion Beta about one this morning. The installer worked fine. I pressed "Play now" and I began installing the game. No issues there.
About an hour ago the game was at 98%. I left for a bit and when I returned, the download has restarted. I'm now at 5%.
I'm a patient person, but there has to be something wrong. The Aion file on my computer is already 10GB.
Are the additional downloads something everyone experiences or am I experiencing an error? If anyone has any info on this let me know. I've been looking for about a half an hour now.

Are you sure it isn't installing now instead of downloading?
i think u are have some kind of an error coz my aion installer just have 5 gb i dunno y u have 10 gb is like u are downloading the same file twice

Just try to run the installer from the location file

i'm sure. It says downloading. And i've installed games about this size (AOC) and it took max an hour. I don't know what happened in the few minutes I was gone to restart. It was at 98%. I don't think there was an error.
And there is only one file in my actual aion folder right now.
I had this same problem it reached 100% then had a small download in the 2nd progress bar and then restarted competely. GRRRRR!
I just finished downloading it a second time. I think there was an error with my internet connection or something that caused this but i'm not sure.
if you have the same problem I did, I think it is remedied by doing it one more time. I know it takes forever, but mine is installing right now. I assume it's going to work.
I looked for a good hour and a half for someone with the same issue or a fix for it before I said to myself "You know what? i'm just gonna see if it works the second time." Don't get frustrated. It will work. And if it doesn't, post on the Beta Forums when they are up.
if not, this laptop is going out the window for all the MMO problems it gives me.
I noticed when I downloaded it it downloadied it then it went and checked the download. Perhaps it detected something wrong with it then decided to do it again.

my download took forever and is 7.63 GB
I got problem with download too,it's been more then a day since people started downloading Aion and I still can't download
'The Install info could not be downloaded,please try again in few minutes'
what's up with that,anyone got same problem?
This is so stupid. I've downloaded the entire file (all 5 gigs) 3 times now and it keeps failing to install. I get 100% of the file and it starts "checking" the file. It zips along until it gets to 97%, then hangs for 2-3 minutes and then reverts back to 0% and starts the download over.
It's downloading to my C drive, since I was told it will fail if you download it to any drive other than C, but it still fails.
All in all this is a joke.
i would most probably keep playing aion china .i am getting a feeling this game wont do good in america and west .and the servers will become ghosttowns .moreover china is my neighbourhood country .so less ping and lag for me.and even less cost as i dont play the game for more than two hours a day.
Try deleting the file completely then redownloading it.

Thanks for trying to help, but I've done that, and completely reinstalled the launcher. I've deleted the original folders, and all files in my cache, still nothing.
At this point I'm about to give up. Since I can't download the client any other way, I'm screwed until I can get my actual game DvD.
Try deleting the file completely then redownloading it.
I had the same problem as you Midnight but i tried like 5 times, then on the 6th time I did what BeachDave said. Deleted the game, turned off my AV, and restarted the whole process again and this time it worked. G/L

There is a BT out there ( a few of them). try them if ur still haveing problems.

Also Defrag your destination harddrive.

I'll try without the AV running. Maybe that will help. Thanks! I also thought the BT was for the chinese version. I'll look into that as well.
I am redownloading this again now too... no clue why that happened?
