I'm having sooo much fun with my rouge. You get to pick your fights and attack when it's most advantageous. Don't take damage too well but DPS is sooo satisfying...and duels are tons of fun. My 17 rouge juuuuust about took out a 20 paladin and I forgot to use a few good abilities in the heat of the moment. All in all I'm having a blast!! Look me up if you're on Gorefiend (Snok NE rouge)

C'mon peeps this topic has been raised sooo many times its given me a headache...

its so people can try and play 'the' class.
TBH id rather play a gimped char which i enjoy playing than one i dont.
Example (my personal preferences here dont flame pls):
1. I dont enjoy caster classes AT ALL. I find the downtime while soloing at the start... well plain annoying. Mages,warlocks and shamans are generally out for me. I could force myself to play one but....
2. I really love being in the thick of things, Hunters aren't this. I've tried on two occasions to play them and have stopped aftert lvl 13 and 16 respectively. Generally They are excellent for soloing, and DO DO the best damage IMO. But the playstyle for me is wrong.
3. I've always liked being a warrior/fighter/thief. But i dont really like classes which are 'jack of all trades but masters of none'. Therefore that wipes out paladins for me, also again they have some neat abilities but generally combat for me is stale because they have lots of heals but no stuff to do other than hit mobs.
OK so from this i have played these classes: Warlock- lvl 6, Mage - Lvl 9, Paladin - lvl 7, Shaman - lvl 5, Warrior - lvl 19, Warrior lvl 23, Hunter - lvl 13, Hunter - Lvl 16, Rogue lvl -31.
You can see from my played times that my mindset is a fighter. Rogue is my personal favourite just cause of the funny things you can do, sure generally they dont have alot of hps or decent armour but they just quirky

So basically for my first character at release (im from EU... why i got so many diff chars from US ST1, ST2 and EU beta) will be a rogue.
I always played horde rogue in beta but ill prob be changing to alliance at release. I dont like dwaves or gnomes tho :P. So itll be a human rogue for me methinks.
Once i've enjoyed my first class ill prob learn to try some of the other classes more, shaman etc but generally i prefer rogue style much more than the other classes.

Normally I work as healer, but in easier "times" I can just play as Warrior (Bearform) so the Class has more aspects then the others.
okay just for advice PICK A PALADIN. they are soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good. there amazing. just try it until lvl 13 if you dont like it just keep it but dont play it or delete it. there are so amazing there like warriors that can enchant them selves and heal and res. like im lvl 14 and can do 31 dmg per sec(which is amazing) and thats in one hand.

I made an Orc Warrior, mainly because my guild needed a tank, and i normaly go a support class in every other game we played... So i wanted something different.
I have to say its allright, though i find it hard to keep aggro of some of our shamans (mainly the random shamans we pick up from time to time), but thats not that bad.
But i was supprised to see the total lack of DPS delt by duel weilding Warriors. I have two 16.9 DPS Axe's on my main and secondary hands. I average 60dps on even mobs (lvl 28)., but when my mate (lvl 29 rogue) have 11dps weapons he gets 140+ dps.... Not to count in the fact i miss 30% of my mits (so Cosmos tells me). But i guess this might be the first game i have played where Warriors actualy tank and dont do DPS.
Not sure if thats good or bad yet;) Its funny though to take on 3 rogues in PvP and use your Retaliation ability while having a 2hand axe on... They die in around 3-5 seconds, msot of the time they dont know whats going on, but dont think we will be able to do that as much when we are lvl 60 as everyone will watch out for the tell tail signs of Retalation:(

Can someone please make me a sig. I would like it to have something to do with an eagle(the bird) Somewhere near the eagle can you put the words "Global Defense Initiative". Could you also have the line "If you can't buff up, don't step up!". Thanks!

/agree at the start paladin is boring because it gets some heals and no combat abilties your essentially just normal attacking mobs. Sure you can buff your attacks but your just attack normally.
Still going with jinjirok eh? :P
