help with headphones

hay so ok first of all i dont know if this is qualified to be in the hardware topic so forgive me xD

ok so now to the problem.. my headphones work fine and people can hear me through skype  but the thing is they can also hear the game that im playing and they can hear it really loud.. so is there a way to mute the ingame voice.. or computer voice or what ever for my conversation listeners

    Well you can go to the options of the game you are playing, then go to the audio tab and reduce the volume of: music, sfx or ambience.

    Im not sure if you are practicing this, but you don't use your PC speakers.  Just use your headphones.  From there its really about the type of headphones you have if other people can hear it.  Like a circumural headseat should not be picked up by the microphone.

    Try going into the audio properties for your recording devices by right clicking the little speaker icon in the corner or going through the control panel, then select only 'microphone' - make sure 'What-u-hear' or 'stereo mix' or 'wave' is deslected/muted.
