Hey perscribe me a game.

I don't have alot of time in the day since I work from 9-6 and unavailable most weekends to play so I'm basically looking for a condensed mmo.
I've played EQOA and EQ2.
My problem with EQOA is that well...for one thing it is dying and you need a group to get anywhere far into it. EQ2 is good, but you need to put in alot of time on a character to get to raid level. I've played diablo 2 and I loved that game because you could get a character to 80 in a matter of hours. Gear was easy to obtain.
So what I'm looking for is:
Short amount of time to put in for good results.
Ability to jump on and effectively play (not wait for a group).
Items (I love farming for rares etc.)
PVP (optional I guess.)

Guildwars maybe? The rares are sometimes really hard to get however (the greens). But it is perfect if you havnt played it and the fact that it have no monthly fees is not bad either.
AoC or WAR works too I guess, they are both more casual than EQ2. WARs PvE kinda suck however. AoC is more a PvE game.
Otherwise are most MMOs about the same as EQ2, getting good takes a lot of time.
definately check out Vanguard.... download the trial and if it works on your PC then consider playing it past the trial its really turn into something...
I agree but Vanguard do take time too, he is already playing EQ2 and VG is not so much more casual than it.
I agree with Loke,Guild Wars has everything you described and much more.You can literally get to the maximum level in a few hours and then just do the fun stuff(dungeons,pvp etc.)

I'd be cautious with guild wars, I agree great game. But I think they made Max level too much of a joke as you can hit max level in hours and there is no gear progression, the only thing you can earn in Guild wars is bragging rights.
This is because soon as you hit 20 you can buy the best gear in the game from the vendor... I mean on occasion there is some set gear you can get that is slightly better but overall... Just no..
I agree with EQ2 though, I got to lvl 62... wow that was quite the achievement... right after having maxed out master crafted and everything I quit as I got pretty damn bored of it and ran out of quests... literally...

Guild Wars, WAR and WoW all sound like games you should try. Not sure I'd recommend Vanguard or AoC, but might be worth a try. Of those two I'd pick AoC first.

Which Guild Wars do I buy?
Is there a big spot for farming in the game? Like can you find valuable rares for trading and selling for money?
You should buy all of them,but I'd start with prophecies (it has the best and longest story in my opinion).But maybe you'll be able to find the complete edition,which would be great (it contains all campaigns).And to answer your second question,there are many farming (some are more profitable some are less) places,you can farm almost everywhere if you have the right skills.
True ty alot, but the game are all stand alones right? Would I have to buy all the games to have all farming areas? (I understand you can travel between the games with a single character).
GW's are stand alone.
Also there is other options too, like Lotro. I ques CoH would have too much grouping you taste, even if it can also be soloed too.
