I mean we can assume this is just a guess on that sites part, but WTH is there a price set for it? Hmmmmm Interesting.

My guess is they just put an average price-tag on it and will change the price as soon as details about it become available. Something like "price may change before delivery occurs, we will keep you updated if you pre-order" or something to that effect.

The website provided an interesting release date but I think more realistically the year would have to be 2010. In addition, does anyone know when that live-action Star Wars TV series is suppose to air? Bioware might release thier game to coincide with the airing of the TV series.
Yeah I thinnk they planned to release in 09m because they had. That is untill they decided to do full voice over, add some other things, play test all of that ect. I still stand firm that sometime in 2010 we will get to play TOR.

I still think we will get Closed Beta by the 4th quarter of 09, release, sometime 2nd quarter of 2010. I don't know about the TV show to be honest. <.< >.> Not so much looking forward to that.

Don't be dumb enough to fall for that. Its still too early to say for sure the game will even come out. Until the opening date is officially announced by Bioware, don't waste your money.

As for pricing in the UK that's pretty much what I'd expect for a game this big, even WAR and AoC was £35 price reduced down to £25.
Play has some very big competiton from AMAZON and GAME in the UK and I suppose they are getting early pre-orders in to go to EA and say "we already have x thousand pre-orders we want it for £15 a box"
Especially as EA and GAME do not get on over a long running dispute over pricing, becuase of it GAME only stock 1 copy of an EA game in store and only order 1 when it gets sold.
WAR got nasty as EA pulled the limited editions from them after all the other UK stores sold out their numbers, expect more fun and games between GAME and EA over the release or TOR.
Well after last year.. my new rule is I won't pre-order anything until one of the following happens:
1) I beta test it
2) I get into a "pre-view" event and play it
3) Its released and I watch forums for outcry/joy posts and try to weed through to see data I can use.
I don't really why anyone would want to pre-order an MMO with the market the way it is.. without some personal data to go by. What I mean is don't buy these based on someones opinion... your own may not mesh with others.
I guess if you have the money and don't care.. whatever... I just have to order multiple copies of everything for the household and I'm sick of wasting hundreds of dollars for 30 days... or less ;p
Of course this is just my point of view / opinion.. so I don't claim this IS what others should do.. I just think its a good guide for the moment at least.

I believe this should be the attitude that all of us must have, so that we will no longer being scam by companies that release their games too early....
I will also hold back for a few months after release and checkout the outcry, praise on forums before i decide...
But deep down i believe in Bioware...

Did you happen to notice that Darkfall has been "going to be released" for over five years? Most people thought it was vaporware. And its not the first game to do that.

£39.99 at Game with a date of 24/09/2010, and amazingly already given a 5 star review at Amazon.

I reckon GAME will get totally shafted by EA once again, I have my place holder order in at PLAY for now.
To be honest due to all the shops going under in the UK we're running out of places to get games anyway, I reckon HMV will go next as Waterstones can't compete with Amazon and that only leaves the GAME group on the high street,
Speaking of HMV, they have the release date down to 26-3-2010. I don't really care but I think it's rather annoying for people to get these random dates from retailers. See you 2012

Honestly, WAR and AoC weren't big enough smacks to the head? I really look forward to this game, and have alot of faith in BioWare, but I also had faith in Mythic...
