Someone posted this a while ago. If you didn't know, Lucasarts is one of the main problems of this game. They pushed for the Jedi systems that have completely screwed with the game and caused many to grind. Lucasarts pushed so that the Devs had to work on the expansion before the combat fix. They are more of a problem than SOE has ever been.

Guild Wars [E3 trial] (Not too bad, nothing very new though)
Eve Online (somewhat fun, somewhat repetetive)
WoW (not my cup of tea)

Waiting for:
Fallen Earth (Post-apoc just rules!)

LOL whata you mean stop them, they have already ruined the game with that lame expansion first person shooter the came out with............SOE has got to have the worst devs there is,I played EQ II and before i even wasted the 50 bucks i should have realized they would do the same thing with it that they have done to SWG

Eh dude, did you know that it is the fault of LucasArts that SWG is in such a mess? LA is the reason Jedi got pushed, and keep getting pushed, which is what led to the Jedi Hologrind which forced hundreds to thousands of veteran players to stop playing SWG.

so what was all the talk about when the game was still in development:

-players wouldnt be able to play imperial because it would have been too strict IRL

did LA really do a 100000% makeover or what? cause if its hard to RP an imperial, guess what it must have been for a jedi....

They never said players could not play Imperial LOL! They said being a Stormtrooper would not be a profession. Players made petitions, but they still decided to not have it as a playable profession.

Originally, Jedi were suppose to be rare. And even better, have perma-death. The main SWG game DEV is on record saying being a Jedi would be like playing Diablo 2 in hardcore mode. Right now, LucasArts messed up Jedi. They are not rare. And they do not suffer permadeath. (as far as I know.)

then LA really screwed up the game right from the start... I always wanted starting imperial ST armor

I wish they would have gone with a JtL like system right from the start too... u'd have to choose for Imperial Neutral or Rebel. Each faction would focus on seperating things, but smugglers etc. could bring stuff over from one faction to another as to not make the game unbalanced.

If u want for an Imperial u'd be getting all of your standard equipment already from the Empire but u could upgrade your weapons as u like with your personal money. This way we'd have uniform clothing for the most part so we can have inexpensive pvp but people could always invest if they wanted to...

Well, when you think about it. Jedi could of been a great addition to SWG.

People who were bored of the game and felt it lacked content, could grind to become a Jedi and spend more months trying to achieve Jedi Master.

The big problem is, anyone was able to grind to become a Jedi. So even newbies who barely even touched the core of the game and skipped directly to Jedi are the ones who ruined the game.

The population of SWG didn't grow, it decreased. Instead of having more normal combat professions, more crafters and more entertainers. They converted into Jedi grinders. What does this do? Most people did not care about the core of the game and only concentrated on Jedi.

But hey, it's too late now, SWG is ruined unless SOE decides to do a drastic move and deletes all Jedi from the game so that non-Jedi characters will stop being jealous they aren't one and the game will come back to the way it used to be.

And it's not a bad move either. By deleting all Jedi, all the players that are Jedi which probably represent no more than 10-20% of the SWG population will cancel their account. But what's better? Keep losing people from the 80-90% of the population who aren't Jedi? Or lose a puny 10-20% of the population that do absolutely nothing to the game except making the 80-90% jealous?

We need someone to hack into SOE, delete all Jedi from the database and erase all backups of the Jedi characters, that way all the 10-20% Jedi will be disapointed, quit SWG, then we could convince SOE to remove the Jedi system all together and SWG is saved.
