my take on the game ^^
ok i loved it !! unfortunately i have a Gfx issue with the game .. god dam you radeon !! 4800 series.. not a good idea to have one with aion.
so i only got to lvl 7 BUT the quests were actualy enjoyable !! OMG !?!?!?
series i genuinly enjoyed reading the quest text and getting into the little but kinda fun story that was flowing 
and i see people saying alot .. ooooh its a quest driven game i hate them... and then all other games are like... omg its a grindfest !
seriously people :P make up your mind ! you can grind or quest, and im going to be honest.
this was NOT set questing ! i enjoyed going around killing loads of random things :P i made the questing and grinding and socialising too !!! SOCIALISING IS GREAT FUN !! 
( just liek to add i found the games chat easy) lol
ok sooo.. yes in beta it seems a bit simple, i never got to get my wings, cant say i even wanted too.. tryed all the classes and enjoyed them didnt want to ruin the wings for when the game is released.
there is so much more to this game after the beta, dungeons with awesome loots ( aparently could be bigger then the wow inventory) i hate to quote wow but when it comes to wow's huge inventory, it cant reeealy be matched :P yet
so yeah theres also the PvP and raids and the fact that pvp helps you raid and raiding helps u PvP.
quite a large help from both sides i hear also.. like siege weapon drops from raid bosses and pvp will gives buffs and titles with raiding stats on it ect...
now this is all what iv read and herd not to be quoted from me xD
BASICLY ! i really lookin forward to this game
the graphics are beautifull. also :P but sadly couldnt play on my PC had to go to my friends..
if anyone works at NC can u fix the rendering problems with radeon 4800 series please ? ^^

i loved it as well.
didn't have gfx issues, but did have crippling lag, rubberbanding, and crashing over saturday night. the game was unplayable. i must be a very small minority experiencing this since no one else is really talking about it and the five friends i was playing with didn't experience it as well.
I must admit I logged in when the server's went live and there were hundreds of ppl around me,Instead of just running to the 1 st quest giver like some did I basically had a look around me and checked my own preformance,I was on vent with some mate's that were not in the beta and I do believe my words were "holy sh1t there are hundreds of people here and I am not lagging at all,also I am looking around and cant see anyone lagged out at all,this already looks good for the pvp"
I also agree the quests were good fun and cant understand the complaints about grinding,I started a post about this on AS and will start a thread soon on this site about it also.
If someone had came up to me in 1980 when I was on my Atari 2600 and said we will be playing games with thousands of people at the same time.I guess my response would have been,"but I only have 2 joysticks"

i had a less then 1 second lag issue and im in EU playing NA beta ^^ so thats a good tthumbs up from me

Im a EU player to, and if I didnt know anything ellse I would believe I was playing on a EU server, becasue I had so little lagg I didnt even notice it.
I think they made a great choice in using the Cryengine. I was also amazed at how there was almost no lag at all even when people were running all over the place.
I also got lag and rubberbanding at times, so i guess a few people got while most did not. Whats odd is I played on the Korean retail with zero lag. Oh well I guess that's what beta's are for. I'll be playing in the next set of beta's to see if it gets resolved for me.

If this guy didn't like the game, I wonder how many people would be attacking him.
Honestly, it's hillarious. If this guy had posted a well worded posts on the faults of the game, he would have been flamed into next week. Instead he posts a poorly written essay about how great the game is, and everyone just eats it up.
This never ceases to amaze me.
Glad to hear ya had fun but i played all 3 days and own a 4870x2 and had no problems.
Maby u dont have updated drivers or some other problem?

There are so many games in the pipeline this year that is really hard to decide which one you def want to play, but one thing is certain about AION, I have enjoyed playing both CN and EU betas, and I know if everything else fails I can count on that to keep me entretained.
Because it makes sense that most people who post on a particular forum will be people that enjoy the game. Henche coming here to talk about it and stuff like that. It doesn't amaze me in the least.
I liked the game as well and had zero lag.
