Dual weapons or two handers?

in Everquest II
Which weapons will have more dps? Dual weapons, or a 2h weapon. I want to play Berserker but im not sure which to decide on, maybe I will just train both.

    As far as my experince goes I've had about the same result with both. I guess it really depends which one you use more as your skill grows with more use of a type of weapon. I guess if I had to choose one I'd say the two handed might average out to better damage, but I could be wrong.

    As far as DPS goes, it's probably close to a draw, however, the one thing I think going Dual Wield or even a 1-H + Shield over a 2H, is you have 2 items equipped which can have stat bonuses on them where as using just a 2H weapon, you only have 1 item which has stat bonus's on it.

     

    I could be wrong here though.

    a dual weapon generaly has half skill bonuses as a 2h weapon would, pretty much every weapon in the game aslong as its the same level is the same.

    hmm, if they are that close I will pick duals, I think they look better and I like hitting a decent speed. I dont want to sit there 10 seconds before I hit.

    Does EQ2 have epic quests? If it does I may pick whatever weapon the berserker epic is.

    My favorite combo is a 1h weap. and a shield. I think it's the most effective in battle.

    Ya I like sword+shield, but for a berserker I would choose that. Im having a hard time deciding playing a paladin or a berserker.
