My experiences after playing 30 days

I have been playing Warhammer nearly 30 days up to now and I found out the players are so much different from other games I have played before. I'd rather think it was the game shaped out the players than the player adapt to the game. I only playing on Orders because the Chaos looks terrible, at least for myself. Just like WOW, I don't want to play undead rogue because they can't even run properly, and it affects my RL somehow. Therefore, I would not want to try again. There is nothing to talk about because it is just like food, you have your favorite and I have mine.

Warhammer is not actually one on one PVP game because it is designed for group PVP (GPVP), because the class balance is not based on each, therefore, you may seen high level is not necessary able to kill a low level, because no matter what class you chosen, all skills are nearly the same. The game is heavily based on Armors and Weapons which you will get better armors/weapons through GPVP or Capturing Battle Objectives in a conflict zone to earn yourself with the renown point to increase your stats so this is very important enhancements. And level will enhanced your skills either mostly are damaging or healing. A high level without renown point means your performance are much lower because your stats are lower too.

I don't like to play any PVE contents because the core of the game is GPVP or CBO (capturing battle objectives in conflict zone), I think PVE contents only help yourself to make gold or unlock certain quest. I can't see it will help you performing better since I can't see the difference between killing 1,000 certain mob and if you killed 10,000 mobs. I can't see the difference if you completed or not complete the Public Quest. In LOTRO, you need to kill hundreds of certain mob to gain enhancements and title but not in Warhammer, you may gain a title just like a trophy to decorate your armors without any real value. So the grind in Warhammer is mainly for gold or a slim chance to get rare armors/weapons. However, if the quest have chance to drop rare armors, you can be sure that it is similar to a Raid size in LOTRO, and people still can roll the thing they already have and it is quite rare to gain something you really needed. The PVE contents are very poor and it is not able to compete with other PVE mmo.

My experiences on EU Core server, especially on Order side is most people like to do PVP or GPVP. And they are enjoy soloing. Soloing in a group. Because the game provides 9 characters, therefore it is so easy to forming your own guild. And the game keeps educating players in loading screen that if you need a party just join a open warband, and you can leave or join without any reason. This is the playing style Mythic expect everyone to have. So we all playing with our own style. Not all healers want to heal you because they prefer to play for themselves than make you play better. The most terrible thing is playing the wizard, when you deal lets said 300 damages, you have very high chance to hurt yourself with 384 damages up to 540 damages, so the wizard always killed himself. Without healing, you won't be able to use your skills 5 times.

I have played healer in most mmorpgs, and I also playing healer in Warhammer, all my skills are for healings, and I only heal but then when I play other class, I barely to see other healer so generously to heal people. I found out many healers are trying to deal damaging than healing or they just don't want to heal. When there was someone chased by a destruction, I usually will joined but then the Order just run away. And many times, when I engaged with a destruction, the Order just run by without help. And one time, I was grinding gold in a public quest, I was high level, there were some Order just asked me to leave because I also have the chance to roll. This also explains why Destruction is dominant on our server just because the player on Order are solo player in a group. And now, when I playing healer, I do my best not heal anyone or ressurect any dead. There were many times, a healer stood on my corpse without ressurection. Sorry for my honest, but I swear to God, there are so many healers they don't heal. Furthermore, the healer in Warhammer is extremely boring class and they died fast in GPVP.

What about defending a keep? most people died before the real defensive comes, because they so enjoyed for dog fight, again solo in a group. Therefore, when the Destruction breaks in, there wasn't enough live people left and many people included melee all run to the roof instead of blocking on stairs. If I remembered right, I had only one time attacking a defended keep, the other times, Orders are not able to attack a well defended keep, but Orders are only capable to attack empty Keep.

So I'd say Warhammer is a big PUG game just like you go to internet cafe to play a F2P game.

Gosh, where to start... well okay you choose order, no need to have a phylosofical discussion about how the walking affect your real life...

I wouldnt say realm rank is that important, but high lvl is more important, like a lvl 31 killing a lvl 21 in a scenario even when the lvl 21 is boosted to 28, will happen 100% of the time. But a lvl 21 with 21rr has no chance against his mirror lvl 31 with rr5 or 6... And no, you dont get loot from battle objectives, from keeps maybe, but not from BO.

In fact questing is one of the fastest way to lvl in the game (if u dont mind not getting any realm rank). There is no grind for gold as gold is meaningless in WAR, gear yes, gold no. And to do the PVE set parts quests u just need 2 or 3 players... is that the raid size of LOTRO? or maybe you are talking about the public quests, well the bags can be given to somebody else with master loot, and in 1.3 anybody will be able to pass the bag. No comment on the last sentence...

Soloing in a group? the game provides 9 character so it's easy to form your own guild.... those 2 sentences dont even make sense... You know, if you join a guild with players, well you wont have to join PUGs... I can guarantee that all healers heal, since there is a huge RP reward from healing, maybe they dont heal you, because you are out of range or suicidal...
Wow just wow, you are the first person to even complain about playing the Bright Wizard... God forbids...

Well, if you were solo grouping to grind for gold, It's no wonder that healers who were dpsing the mobs would ask you to leave (sarcasm). So you love healers in other games but hate healers in WAR, where they are exactly the same as in all other generic mmo, figures.

I have seen reviews, and negative reviews, but non-sense reviews, that's my first time seeing.

I've seen lots of ups and downs with the game.  Personally I'm just a Warhammer fan (40k, tabletop, etc.) so I love it.

I know and everyone knows that this game is so poor quality, but the population in Europe still increasing. I guess the only reason because it was so much fun to PVP or Group PVP. Most people don't even bother to do PVE contents. Myself only do a few public quest at low levels then I figured out these PVE contents are useless in game.

I couldn't say I love this game but there is not many choice atm. I only wish there will be more PVP contents and not to leveling too fast. Because what's the differences if you PVP at lv9, 19, 29, 39? You are still PVPing in 4 tiers.

In T4, the map are real poor design, I prefer T2 and T3, but this game spank you with extremely excessive exp, so you will be busted out of the Tier within a few days.

So, you could expect to have fun only, and you will be very disppointed at this game if you expect more, ie, like any other games, or end game contents at such.

If there is better PVP game, I will not think twice to quit Warhammer.

Hmm... there is a reason why they closed a number of servers and there is only three main english core servers now, it is not because the population is increasing m8, it is because its going in the other direction sadly.

English must not be your first language, because your sentence structure is horrible.

Currently restarting World of Warcraft :/

I am a big fan of the PnP warhammer, but I am kind of afraid to play this tbh.  I am not sure if it keeps the original flavor of the Warhammer universe.  Perhaps I will do some more research and make a decision this weekend.  Any thoughts from veteran Warhammer players out there?

I think it was the best game i ever play'd .. I had a bright wizard (level 40 and RR 51) and i used to love my character .. everything was awesome untill the server crashes came , and this made a lot of people quit the game . I don't know if they made any changes on the servers to make them more stable .. but i think you should try the game because it's so awesome xD . Have fun

I could guess why. Playing one of the most overpowered characters must be exciting and rewarding experience.

WAR has the same problem AoC does, it's really fun up until a point and then it just gets boring.  The game's population took a dive right after the first month of release.

I play the Warhammer table top (10 years now whoop!) and I'll be honest, you're going to get a grin every time you play. You'll recognize this hero or that mob or this piece of armor simply b/c you're a huge Warhammer fan. From an artistic standpoint they nailed the Warhammer universe on the head!

The downside...the actual gameplay and constant "grind-feel" to the game might bog you down. It did for me at around lvl 24 and I haven't touched the game since. That and the in game story damn near has nothing to do with anything that's gone on in the Warhammer world (new fictional enemies, no previous history basis, little to no exploration).

Overall I'd say give it a try with the trial but don't hype yourself up too much. Then again I could be wrong and this game could be right up your alley!

Here's to hoping that the 40k MMO will be the best MMO to date!
