Updated August 9th: News from NCsoft: .....that items will indeed be available to all characters across your account. For both the pre-order items and the Collector's Edition items, you can receive these items for every Aion character you create on the account.

For both the pre-order items and the Collector's Edition items, you can receive these items for every Aion character you create on the account. We will have more information on how it actually works for you shortly."
Updated June 23: I'm not sure about some of these or if this is just the collectors edition or just a preorder so just bare with me while I sort this information out.

Reserve Bonus:
Reserve Aion and receive exclusive in-game items as well as early access to Aion. The preorder bonus comes with:
* Access to all Aion pre-launch events, and early head-start access to Aion live game.
* Access to Aion server and character pre-selection.
* Exclusive in-game items including the Dark Cloud Helmet (stat boost), Talisman of Lodas (XP boost), and the GameStop Exclusive Ancient Ring of Fire.

I like the hip-hop dance emote... not so much on the disco one tho.
I like the hip-hop dance too. Me and my friends do that all the time, but they should have left disco out with the female emote. Disco has already been over done.

Figure is kinda cool, though not as impressive as I thought it might be. I sort of want it, but honestly have little to no interest in the game itself from what I've been reading.
And for anyone who wants to ask "what do you mean what you've been reading" just see the post below this one...

i really think this game will knock wow off its throne..i played aion chinese beta and its more polished than wow is now. Aion is the future, the game has got everything..it has a story, it has great pve and has meaningful pvp..it has great character customization..and the ability to dye your armor. and characters can fly.
Aion is the new king of mmo's..all hail the king.
Yea I will preorder the game somewhere around next week.
maybe in the asian area as this game is definitely tailored at this market. after looking at it a second time it still looks like the typical asian grinder from ncsoft. it looks like lineage with the always same manga-like characters. as an european player i dont believe that this will make a big impact outside the asian (grinder/goldseller)-market.
let aion hit the stores and we'll see if it is of real importance outside asia. is i've said i don't expect this to be so.

Hm, depending on contents of a limited edition, I always consider if it is worth it or not. Albeit, considering how hyped this game is, and how many other hyped games didn't manage to live up to that hype.... But thanks for pointing it out.

There is a huge difference.
This game has been out in other countries for months. Many of the people here have already tried the chinese version. I doubt there will be many surprises, unless they screw up the translations.
This is not like DnL, warhammer, Age of Conan, or even world of warcraft all which came out here first.
it's not a bad thing getting a game second.

I think it's fairly safe to assume that the game isn't going to turn into a Dark and Light after the translation work is done. The game is finished and has been getting very good reviews.
I don't think it will "dethrone" WoW as another poster indicated because the game is just a bit too esoteric for the average player with regards to its subject and it is also a pvp game which will also deter people.
The face creator is just amazing. I think that I won't even get into the game the first day because I'll just take too long with the character generator!

Yeah, that DnL comment is just a giant crock of crap... seriously...
One, its not being released by some fresh indie company, its being handled by a giant, that if it did pull that stunt, would be ruined.
Two, as others have said, its already out in Asia and is rather well recieved there. If I remember, didn't DnL not even get released at all...?
And third, I doubt its going to really rip WoW a new one, but most likely, it will give it some rough competition hopefully! (Its a safe bet my money is going to switch from WoW to this game at least...)

I played Aion China and I love this game. For people who think it's a grindfest, then you're mistaken. I did not griund once, I quested all my levels in the China Beta.
Also you cannot compare this to DnL. That game was a low budget badly made game, they are in completely different leagues. It's like comparing a Hyundai to a Ferrari before buying.
Anyways, having played the Chinese Beta, I've already seen some changes since, and I really recommend this game for someone who is looking for a game they can play either hardcore, or just casually.
Did anyone pre-order from gamestop in-store? If we order in-store do we get the access when we first pre-order or when closer to release? I did not even know that we got a pre-order bonus... Also does it have to be the Collectors edition to get this early beta/start?
No you don't have to get the CE for the beta events or head start.

You should be able to go back to the store and pre-order card, if they got them.
Tho, Gamestop is known for screwing that up... and never getting the cards.

Picked upa copy of the preorder today so I'll be joining the ranks of beta testers next round and chances are I'll be subscribing to the game. I also am getting the collectors edition, it seems to be one of the better collectors edition I have seen in awhile.
Can anyone confirm with the preorder serial number can you create charecters anytime, not just on a beta weekend?

Otherwise I suppose you could print out your beta invitation email (from online preorder) and cut it up to look like wings or something. Maybe put it on a barbie doll. Not saying that I play with barbie or even own one...
