Don't you think it is THE thing that could turn DDO into a huge success?
Afterwards I would foresee, in any order:
Portals would allow you to travel from one plane to the other.
On top of that, somewhere in the middle, how about instanced appartments as housing? (Please not empty instanced neighborhoods ala LotRo)
And finally how about social clothing and dyes?

I have seen some unsubstantiated rumors of a FR MMO in the works already. I do not know if WOTC wants to take the chance of letting Turbine potentially screw up other realms if DDO does not turn it around.
The setting is the main reason I stopped playing DDO (the other being it was so heavily instanced that it didn't feel like an mmo). I have no interest in or connection to Eberron, it feels like the homebrew creation of a neophyte DM. I'd much prefer FR simply because I grew up with it, and its got so much lore and history behind it that it feels like a fully realized world.
An FR expansion would bring me back, and likely make me cancel my other mmo subs, in a heartbeat.
I would return to the game should there be Forgotten Realms or Ravenloft. Might even tolerate Greyhawk but I dont think Dragonlance would work and I say that as a very experienced Tasslehoff Burrfoot.
I used to visit this site a lot however in recent years it has become the home of negative forum posts, illogical opinions and tantrums so I visit less often.
Played or Beta'd: UO / DAOC / Horizons / EQ2 / DDO / EVE / Archlord / PirateKingsOnline / Tabula Rasa / LOTRO / AOC / Champions / Darkfall / Mortal Online / DCUO / Rift / STO / SWTOR / TSW
Okay who's up for a RoU (Ruins of Undermountain) raid? Everyone meet in Waterdeep. Afterword we might go hit up Menzo!
Yes FR would be great for an MMO. Plenty of expansion material... but do you start with the Waterdeep area or the Dalelands? Cormyr? Moonshae isles?
