If you are going to review a game at least play it first notice how WoW gets an 8 rating because of hyperactive kids giving it "!!10!!/!!10!!".
Then they plague the EQ2 reviews by giving it a poor rating, personally I have a low opinion of anyone who overuses the exclamation mark.
It really shows to me that WoW players ARE immature kids or fully grown anally retentive adults ( much worse ), not saying EQ2 doesn't have it's fair share, but come on at least pretend to be smart.
If EQ2 is terrible I would say so and not say it's terrible go play WoW, likewise with WoW.
I'm glad I'm playing EQ2 rather than WoW now because if you strip a MMORPG down it's the players that make the game successful not flashy graphics or a picture of a semi-naked woman on the front cover (erm..ah..yes I did get the collectors edition :P)

You are right, every professional games site out there employs hyperactive kids to write for them. Well maybe thats not true and its a worldwide conspiracy to keep SOE down...
....or maybe WoW is just a better?
I agree with you though that it is annoying when people vote on games they haven't played. EQ2 isn't a bad game but it is deserving of the lower scores what with it being the worst of the two *shrug*.
The same thing happens with every WoW review though, its just that there are less EQ2 fans to bring the scores down and those that play WoW usually end up changing their minds and correcting it.
That's a shame because woW has some good ideas. If only it wouldn't attract a certain audience. I'm also beginning to question the bias of this website.
I believe the problem lies more in this website's audience more than the audience in WoW.
As a side note; I started off playing EQ2, and enjoyed it, at first. Everyday tho I was inclined to /ignore the general chat in antonica and/or commonlands due to the immature talk. I had a hard time getting in good groups, didnt like the fact that soloing was nearly impossible, but did like the graphics, con system, quest system. When I got WoW I expected even more immature behavior...not so. I have played on 6 different servers and have yet to be bombarded by the l337 crowd like I was while I played EQ2 (the chat spamming). I have also been helped without asking in WoW (unlike EQ2 where I would ask for help and was met with silence), and have in general been surprised by the maturity and helpfullness of the WoW community (I believe some of this is derived from the fact that in EQ2 the locked combat doesn't allow you to help strangers, unlike WoW. This I believe discourages people from helping others in EQ2, unless they are in your guild). I know everyone's experience is different, but I wouldnt say that the kiddie crowd all went to WoW, so far there were more of them in EQ2 when I played for the first two weeks, than I have seen in the past two weeks of WoW. I just wish someone would make a game that took the good aspects of both games and combined them.
MMO Vet since AOL Neverwinter Nights circa 1992. My MMO beat up your MMO. =S
I never played EQII, so i can't give my opinion on it's players.
Il give my opinion on WoW players. I play on the PvP server, who are suposed to hold the most l337 kiddy (or whatever u spell it) and i have seen only one leet speaking since i started (must say everyone was laughing :P).
Don't judge WoW players... they are normal, from what ive seen. We have kiddy and adults...
