Will it be WoW-esque with a selection of buttons doing all the work, or more like the upcoming mortal online with defending n what not thrown in to make it more like an action game?
I'm leaning more toward hotbutton type combat. It seems they are going for a large audience so my guess would be they will not try to complicate that many things in the game.

We hear it is supposed top be heroic. So you are NOT to expect a vast group of players hacks 5 minutes on one poor bear, then move on to the next.
I guess it will be fast paced. We hear a duo took several mobs at the same time (imagine a light version of Dynastry Warriors maybe). People are supposed to feel heroic. A mob is mowed down likely with little ado, and they compensate it will mass to give you the same feeling of being "busy" as classic MMos with one longwinded mob-battle. The logical consequence will be, that we will not see 4-5 full quickbars of attacks, but rather merely one quickbar. Which is also suggested in some of the E3 previews.
Since the game emphasized soloabitiy it will likely not have a tank-dps-healer triade, and every class will be more or less self-sufficient, so expect to have a bit of everything. Every class has some CC, some heal, some dps asf. All that seems pretty much logical from the info we can read.

I hope your right, cuz I like less things when it comes to interface like one quickbar. Kind of like Guild Wars.

I really liked the Guild Wars quick bar too, because I also felt like it was an indirect way of keeping things balanced. One person might get the edge over another just because their opponent didn't quite have the right skill in their bar to counter with.

Expect it to be like the more common mmo combat system.
