I noticed a vendor sells Dye. My friend wasn't sure, but he said you had to be a tailor, and that you could not apply it to already crafted or looted clothing & armor. You have to fully craft it, apply the dye, then it becomes the desired color.
Is this true? Cause I want to dye my clothes the way I want it to be... but I don't want to have to become a tailor to do so.

well thats what mmo is all about.
you need help from someone that is a talior, and maybe he need help from you.
thats the way to make new friends in a game like that.
Its not Guildwars.
In Guildwars you can dye all your clothes at any time. Very nice feature. But, WoW doesn't have that.
To my knowledge, Dye can only be used when crafting items. Its an ingredient for certain clothes.
So, yes, only tailers can use it, and only when they craft. You cannot dye things you found.
Cheers,
Nash
