Need more inventory space!!!!!!

**I havent seen anyone discuss this topic, if you have I apologize for the repost.**

Although, I thought the Gobbie Bag quests were great! I thought the initial space in your Mog House and on your person could have been more. I hated doing "Inventory Hell" and going through the Delivery service. I thought that if they wanted you to have that initial space, to at least give you a foot locker or something to that sort to hold more items. Also, with your Character they could provided a backpack to where you could have those items in a back pack.

There were several scenarios that I found it impacted me quite a bit. I found that when I went Farming or Mining that I always had to go naked in order to make sure that I had enough inventory space. Then there was the tools that you had to use for Mining that also took up your inventory. The other is when your are actually crafting. When you actually succeeded at creating an item it would still be in your inventory and you would have to be next to the AH to get rid of your items. Or you could just simply create as much as you could and then go to the AH. I had to put a lot of effort to make sure that my character was ready to do what I was going to do next. Wether it be farming, leveling, mining or crafting I felt that creating other characters only to be utilized as mules was kinda.. well dumb. If I created a character I wanted to experience that race with a paricular job. Not because I needed a Mule. I do have to admit that having characters in different cities was a great way for me to grab items for whatever I was about to do next. But It was a system that needed some help.

What i don't understand from this game is why does armor take up inventory space if i have it on.  No other MMO has this that i know of off hand and it makes no sense.  if i have it on, then it's not in my bag.  If they fix that i think inventory space is fine.

Yeah, I highly doubt they'll allow you to transfer the use of the Mog Satchel you get with the security token over to FFXIV!  From the sound of it, SE will more than likely be shipping out security tokens with every new copy of FFXIV.  When you create an account you will be forced to activate it.  This way they'll eliminate having to deal with account hacking from day one and it'll never be an issue.

Accounts being hacked has been a major issue for FFXI for years and I bet SE will be most eager to prevent it from ever happening:

    • If you were diligent in acquiring your Mog Satchel, those Square Enix IDs and Security Tokens we set up are going to come in handy. As Square Enix revealed yesterday in a response to a series of questions from ZAM, the Security Tokens will be used to secure Final Fantasy XIV accounts.

Invatory space was fine. They just need to Learn that WHEN I PUT ON CLOTHES TO TAKE IT OUTA MY BACKPACK!!!!!!!!!

    Honestly... Wtf was that about.

Yeah I Know in all the FF games you dident have it removed but in those games you had a Bigillion units of space. "ok so only till mid game but still"

Well, as they have said, it was due to PS2 memory limitations.  It seems, they have got it to where the ps2 can support 80 spots per inventory holder (ie, gobbie bag, satchel, mog locker, etc).  Right now, they offer a lot of storage, so I'm fine with the inventory.  I'm sure they will have a better system in the next game, since they have alot more RAM to deal with in terms of the ps3 and 360 (when it arrives on the 360).  The only issue I can see them running into, is that they use up the majority of that RAM on other features that they deem to be higher priorites than the inventory system.

Yeah I hope so, too...  Though, who knows... Maybe the inventory space thing will be addressed and the mog satchel won't be as "notable" a difference.

I've always kinda liked the ability to buy bags that allow you extra space. So, if you have 4 slots, you can put 4 bags of whatever size in each slot, thus increasing your bag space... It gives crafters (tailors anyway) a great way to make money with their craft, and allows players more control over how much space they have. Of course, larger bags would be more expensive.

As for chicken wings... If you want chicken wings, go somewhere that specializes in them. That's my point-of-view anyway :-p.
