Well I say this because FFXI was my first MMO and I loved it. When WoW was released and a lot of the people I had met and played FFXI with had switched over to WoW I was pretty pissed with Blizzard for awhile. Now I have gone through and played some of the older MMO's and would love to actually enjoy them, but haven't been able to since there really isn't much population on anything other than WoW now. All the new games being released since WoW have been pretty fail. I like the idea's behind AoC, but good job releasing it way to early and digging their own grave.
I have high hopes for this game, but all I really want is something I can enjoy and won't leave because of a bad population. If this game fails and ends up being crap then I'm out of the MMO thing forever, or at least a very long while.
I've posted many other threads about how I feel about WoW, I will try to not go into it here. Sorry if I have.
I'm not to great with writing anyting considering english is my second worst subject to history, but I'm trying.

You're screwed, atleast in my opinion, Final Fantasy got flushed down the toilet as soon as they got the idea it was smart to make an absurd amount of their mainstream titles Si-Fi, and all I can really say is that I hope this one isn't the same anoying Si-Fi crap too many of the recent Final Fantasies.
I think I'm screwed too, but I really hope not.
I think people expect way to much out of these games the reason people loved AC AO EQ was because there wasn't any competition.....now if there was like a set of 10 -20 games then we wouldn't be coomplaining at all because there isn't 1000 games to choose from
I've never understood why people complain so much about the "sci-fi" in Final Fantasy games. Ok, I get it...Final FANTASY probably leads you to believe it fits cookie-cutter into the Fantasy genre, right? But the best part of the Final Fantasy franchise has been its balance between both fantasy and sci-fi. The story in FF3 for instance.
The fusion of fantasy and sci-fi has been praised on numerous occasions in FF stories, art, and gameplay. It brings something interesting to the table. Just let FF be what it is. You aren't complaining about magic or Airships, are you? Because those don't belong in "real medieval fantasy" either. FF is "high fantasy" with sci-fi influences. If you haven't realized that yet, well...I don't know what to tell you.
