I've often looked at other peoples threads when they were looking for a game and checked out the games suggested to them, and well some i liked some i wish i never took the time to download and install well heres my gaming history in order.

1.SWG (played for awhile was still new in the mmo genre didnt stick it out and regreted it ever since)

2. FFXII played for a good 6months then dropped it and focused on college

3.CoH on again off again was cool forawhile but when i hit cap got boring (pre CoV)

4. WoW going on 3 1/2 years cant get away from this game, I like many others prefered vanilla WoW but its gotten to the point where i just sit in dalaran till i get DC'd everyone I know left the game why I'm still there is beyond me.

5.AoC. got it at launch was waaaaaay to buggy then heard it got better but not going back. Hyboria just didnt appeal to me.

6. LOTR. was ok nothing to appealing to me.

7.WAR so so dissappointed in this game. as an avid fan of the Table Top games I was expecting alot from it, as good as the graphics are it just was lacking something *cough soul cough*

8. 9dragons very cool concept was liking it even purchased the premium mebership then i entered a pvp zone and was nuked to death....constantly no one would fight man to man they just nuked (probly just bad luck)

9.Lineage 2 just didnt seem like there were any players on when i played for an older game was good just wasnt finding a community I would fit into.

10. EVE. a sci fi genre game i was like cool, i liked that the skills were learned even when offline cool music (i got the soundtrack) but just wasnt for me really i wanted alot more movement control with my ship and you could probly do that later lvls but just wasnt for me

11. cabal....yeah........not much to say on this one

12.chronicles of the spellborn. I loved this game (at least in the lvls I played it at dont know how end game or grouping works yet) probably will go back to it when it gets more finished and i cancel wow and pay some bills lol. not to many games let u play as a fat man that can slice you in half. If anyone can let me know how it is later lvls would love that.

13. And Finally Requiem. Yes i was playing around with it cool concept but might be the very reason I'm not into it. The blood got old fast at first i was like a 13 year old boy playing Mortal combat again for the first time now its like um yeah that's not all that appealing anymore. I'll give it some more time just to see if i want to continue with it but its not looking good.

so yeah i know that's a lot of games but something is lacking from all of them, what i want is something to make me care about what I'm doing in that digital world do I have any effect on whats going on there. A community worth staying with yes i know there will always be douchbag epeen strokers in mmo's but seems like thats all I have been coming across. PVP and PVE, I like the pvp element cause it keeps me on my toes in the game that way I'm not all zombified bot killing random mobs hours on end there's always that chance of a random battle with someone. PVE yeah it has to be there give me a goal other then lvl cap.

The game I'm looking for probly doesnt exsit yet but i would love some feed back and suggestions

*edited forgot to add 2 games my bad*

In Darkfall you can greatly affect the world if you become a clan leader, or just by crafting etc... the game has a tremendous amount of grind though, and it gets boring fast.

I would just wait to be honest....Play console games for now... because basically, all of the MMORPG's out right now are horriible. Besides WoW, which is good, but is just old and not worth it since the expansions have just made everyone hate the game even more

yeah would love to go back to consol gaming just dont have any of the new systems (gasp) unfortantly not in my budget to drop 300$ down on a system to do that.

As for darkfall i have watched friends hype it then throw their montor out their window from fustration and really hating the game so i'll pass on that one. Anyone else suggest anything p2p or f2p

I suggest Everquest II to most people who are stuck in the World of Warcraft phase.

And remember it may not seem like it, but the community is what makes the game fun. Join a good guild and get some friends to play with you.

I've played them all, I've reviewed them all.

Nice long list of games, many of them i played too and some others too.

I found EQ2 too repetitive altho it was one of the better "try-outs" i dont like it when the tier circles are too obvious. In EQ2 to me it felt like Tier 1 get this stuff for this armor, Tier 2 get same stuff from 5 levels higher mobs get 5 levels higher armor, Tier 3 get same stuff from 10 levels higher mobs get 10 levels higher gear and so on - did it to tier 5 i think then got burned out when tier 6 began.

Anyway - try Ryzom, it was a refreshing shock when i found that game and it is funny how so many people never heard of it. It has many many many many many many many many many plus points and is unique in many aspects.

For example: Player created content, design your own instances with triggers, quests and all - lovely for RPing. Also the Mob AI and behaviour is refreshingly different from other games.

Go check the 3 weeks free trial with full function ( no limits if i am right ) and let me know how you found it.

After looking through the list and comments I wouldsuggest, firstly unsubbing from WoW immediately. Then as you intended go back to Spellbourne you should get at least 2 or 3 months from it. Don't go into games intenting to be playing it for 3 and a half years as you did with WoW because you will never give any game to truely grip you the way WoW obviously did.

Then I would also suggest giving Ryzome a whirls as someone else said. Most importantly make friends quick all mmo's are pointless when solo'd, it's truicky to meet normal people though unfortunately.

So true what you said about finding friends quick. Ryzom is what i recommend the OP too - amazing what was done in 2004 and it took me 5 years to find out!!!!!!

Maybe i should have used this forum earlier!

    3 things you should do:

    1) Divorce from WoW

    2)  finish your relationship with Spellbourne - take your time if you want.

    3) FALL IN LOVE WITH RYZOM!
