Getting In and Getting Going - Not So Fast

first - don't download from the link on this site - version is not used - update from EL website doesn't work with it either - had to remove it and download again from EL mirror - not a big deal unless you have slowish connection

6 races but just 3 available without paying :(

no customization - i'm assuming without paying as "sliders" just didn't work but no info on pay/not pay not there

can't load sound (tried it three times - sound comes from ati card hdmi out - probably the problem)

comes up as a tiny window (at least on my 65" screen) - clicking full screen crashes client (again three times)

might try it again some time - guessing it works with generic systems (dell) but nothing unusual (as in user built) is acceptable

    Well... they are indie developers and need the money. The game has been in beta for a couple years now.

    Customization does work. They're not sliders they're arrows that you click. If clicking doesn't work it might be something wrong with your graphic drivers.

    Did you download the sound package? Because it doesn't come packaged with the game. Its on their site right below where you download the game.

    Might have something to do with the version of OpenGL you have or how your graphics card is set. Usually your control panel for your graphics card will have certain things you can check if stuff like this happens.

    Should work on every system because it uses OpenGL which comes with practically all computers nowadays and if you downloaded the drivers for your ATI card (or any graphics card) it should install OpenGL automatically.

     the pay thing wasn't a problem but not sure about pay and a donate button

    yes, sliders is a generic term, hence the quotes - i did see the arrows and clicking didn't work but i won't be altering drivers to get them to i'm afraid (current drivers and really don't want to hunt and peck with old ones)

    didn't know that about the sound - didn't see a download other than for the game and the update (wasn't looking for one either so it is probably right there of course)

    as for the crash on full screen - again, monkeying around with settings when every other game is happy to be windowed or full screen for me doesn't make a lot of sense but you seem to know alot about how to get this game to work so...........ATI Radeon 2600 XT..............my advanced knowledge of fiddling with settings is limited to setting quality and anti-aliasing, period
