"Is this game fun?"

I hear people ask this many times.

Well I have a youtube movie that shows the real reason why many FFXI fans love this game.

But it also shows  the reason why many left.



A Little FFXI Story

 

I think many fans can relate with this video, I know me and some LS friends do.



The joy of meeting up people going up in level with them, be a part of the LS, discover things together.... Help eachother.



And then... after a while... most of us want to get end level quick, exp exp exp. Quick I want to be 75!

Then we lose interest.



Wondering why did we like this game so much?

We have forgotten what the reason was why we liked it...



Then we come upon a movie on youtube like this, and we discover why we liked it and why we lost interest.



No other MMORPG have ever touched me like FFXI.

It is an ok game.



But is is the people that make it great.



The hard leveling, the hard things you must do to get there, I think it helps with creating this kind of community.

Where in most other MMORPGs you can do pretty well on your own. In FFXI you need the help of someone that is willing to help you for your sake, not their own.

And you feel great about it, and when you notice someone else in need for help, you want to help them, because once you was also helped, and you still remember how happy you was with that help.



Well at least this is my expierence...

The video isn't mine, I just found it and it showed exactly how I felt.

    Always a good video, and yes this relates to me almost exactly with several friendships during my time in FFXI!

    If you watch The Karate Kid backwards it's about this karate champ that just kinda slowly becomes a pussy and ends up moving back to Jersey

    I had a great experience with this game actually, and do miss it a lot from time to time.  I miss the people I was in contact with and some of the better parties.  Aside from that?  A LOT of the time I spent in game was sort of a drag...just sitting around waiting for pt's or stuff to sell on the AH.

    Is ffxi fun, you bet been playing some 5 years.

    Do we laugh and have enjoy with 1000's of other Final Fantasy fans all day and night..

    YES !

    You never been to Vanadiel then get the demo and come say hello. And no its not like other mmo's its built and 20 years old franchise that no one has to pull from.
