Would like to ask if anyone knows will there be "appearance" options in the game. Such as what armor/clothing people see as opposed to what armor you have actually equipped? Hooded cloaks? Last names? These are little things i know and exclusion of them will not be game breaking for me but for me the little things are huge sometimes.

at level 30 you can change your armor to look like another piece of armor of the same type. There are also dyes for your armor past patch 1.1. Furthermore, you can chose to hide your helmet and / or guild cloak. As for hiding specific pieces of armor not so much. Aion has one of the more extensive appearance modifications in their game.
Yes, armor will be very customizable, changing color with dues, swapping the look with another armor you like better but keeping the same stats, etc. Not sure about hooded cloaks, but I know there are lots of hats in the game so it wouldnt be too far of a stretch to assume there's a hood. Right now you can have a two word name, but not sure if this is going to carry through when the game goes live.
