Last night in Stormwind I saw a level 51 warlock gnome near me while I was doing some enchanting. How is this physically possible ? I play 8 hours a day (4 morning, 4 late night) and Ive only got to lvl 27. Course Im also a 225 cook, 225 fisherman, 150 first aid, 175 miner, and 145 enchanter. Even if someone did nothing except combat and doubled my playing time to 16 hours a day, I still dont see how its possible to reach such a level by now. Doesnt seem like there are enough hours in the day since launch for this to happen. I asked him and he got defensive and told me to #%&*#

18-20 hours a day?
Oh, also he was selling something either made by a tailor or armorsmith so he obviously hadnt just been doing combat.
ah wel'll he must be pretty good
or lonely

found a guide somewhere a couple of days ago, of how to get to level 60 in 10 days
Now that's just wrong
Or hacking.

yeah
I'm level 33 gnome warlock and I got to it by playing 4 hours a day.
If I doubled my lleveling rate I'd probably be 40's or so.
There are already several level 60's.

Definatly a power-leveler. And if it's an exploit, it will be discovered, anyone caught using or used the exploit will get banned. So just play the game at your own pace and stop being jealous.
My guildmates that have been playing since launch are almost at Level 40, and they are more or less casual gamers. And they aren't using exploits either.

My guess is that these are people who played in CB. They played in CB for months and don't need to explore because they know where everything is, where to hunt, and what quests need to be run for maximizing xp.
I personally could care less what the Jones' do. I'm not out to win a race to lvl 60, I'm here to have fun, explore, joke around, chat, etc....
Well I would say that is impressive but, to see a person who sits in front of the comp for as much time as it would take for him to get that level would prolly be pretty gross. I remember when I was playing EQ I was in a guild where one of the guys was paralyzed so basically he spent most of his time/life on the game. I guess if ya can't get up and run around in the real world... get up and run around in the virtual one!

Well, I'm at level 30 now and I play maybe half the time you do ... probably less as I have a wife and daughter to spend time with and am in the process of moving.
I can't imagine how you could be at such a low level with the amount of time your claiming you put in. What are you doing, fishing and bashing lower level mobs all day?
Try running the quests, you'll find levels aren't all that hard to come by.
Level 51? That's nothing.. the first level 60 was LAST friday. So that is 10 full days of playing to get to level 60... and that's not including all of the server downtime and lag(which I'm sure set him(or should I say "they") back more than a day).
Probably the first level 60 was more than 1 guy playing an account... but to do it by this time probably only took 12 hours a day or so.

Now, just imagine what lvl I could achieve by constant grouping and/or lvling with an active guild or even by playing 8 hours per day (weekdays). Looking at that, I'm surprised that this player was only lvl 51.
Yes, I was lucky enough to get into closed beta (phase 3), but exp hasen't changed.

My dog barks some. Mentally you picture my dog, but I have not told you the type of dog which I have. Perhaps you even picture Toto, from "The Wizard of Oz." But I warn you, my dog is always with me.
There are already people in the upper 40s in Everquest II. Levels in EQII take forever so you can imagine the time spent in 48 or so levels. All in a little more than a month too.

But I only play 2-3 hrs weekdays and have been busy last couple weekends also. So go figure.

Yes yes, I have noticed the higher levels power-leveling fanantics lately, and their still hard at work. More than likely in the game as this post is infinitly here! I have been playing the game like crazy. I guess I got the game Tuesday and than actually found a server I liked on maybe thursday or something. I started out as a gnome Mage and got him up to level 21. I now have a Human Pally and have him up to level 26. So two characters 21 and 26. From my sig as of current, I've played the game a total of 207 hours? And so That comes to an average of roughly 12 hours a day. I have a lot of free time at the end of the year /wink.
Anyway. If I hadnt of switched characters halfway through the game as of yet, I would probably have a lvl 35+ pally, but not a lvl 50 character by far! More than likely, these people who are level 50+ are constantly grouping with the same people time after time! I have a friend who lives up north who also plays this game and she plays with her brother. They never leave each others side. When one goes to the City, the other one goes to the city. A lot... and I mean, A lot of the quests in the game can be simply done by two people and over excellent xp! A lot of people choose to solo them ( me ) because I dont like the whole grouping aspect of things unless im forced to. So while most of us are soloing things, or grouping to do the really really big quests ( van cleef ) these "power-levelers" are hard at work with their life-time partner "ingame" and earning at a much faster rate than us!
I have also noticed its all in the teamwork with a bit of luck as well. So lets say you do, or have been grouping with certain people in the game. More than likely if thats the case, the teamwork is not doing so well if your still only level 2X. A good partner can make all the difference. Just as the party goes, She is a Priest, and he is a Warrior, so there you have it! She heals why he kills and their set!
Overall, I think i feel a little more disgusted with these people than anything, I show my fair share of respect to them, but at the same time, looking at someone with that high of a level also makes me just think the proverbial, you know, must not have a life and everything else, but as much time as i put into the game, i dont really have one either. I guess more than anything I think these people rush through the game without having fun though. You cant get to level 60 in 3 weeks of playing the game and tell me you had the best time of your life, or tell me that you've done it all!

I have a few friends who play causally at best and not even that good of players, at least in groups, and both are already in thier 30's last I checked. And that was last week, just 1 or 2 week after release. I know for sure they are not hackers, the game is just too easy but as I last recall it was by design so players don't need to waste time in the level grind and just jump into PvP and Raids. It's a gamble the Devs at blizzard took, because alot of causal players asked for it.
WoW may not be challenging for the hard-core player, but the Devs are hoping they stick it out at the high end content area.
I highly doubt all the old hard-core EQlive raiders will find this game fun for more then a month. The console/PS2/XBox crowd will love this then of course get bored when the next game comes out.
Luckily, the Koreans will flood this game like gang busters so it will survive along time.
