I really enjoyed the skill deck combat system, but the entire rest of the game is underwhelming.
In order to enjoy the combat I will have to endure hundreds of mind numbing quests / boring and repetitive pve garbage which I just cannot do anymore.
Sounds like you don't like mmorpg anymore. Maybe never really liked them. The quests are the heart of any mmorpg and the ones in this game are actually quite good and enjoyable.
Yeah I don't think they are really trying. No plans for retail release, last time I checked. I was avid and excited about this game... but lost interest when it seemed like they weren't really being aggressive with this game. Maybe later they'll get it working nice and release untill then all i can do is *shrug*
It's been launched, officially released for a couple months now. And yes, we're talking about the NA version of the game. The game has been officially launched everywhere, so it's not just EU that failed, NA did, as well.

Gotta admit i'm rapidly going off mmorpgs, nothing seems to satisfy. The great days of immersive RP in Ultima Online and the raiding guilds of EQ are long gone. It's hard for me to maintain an interest when i play casually, can't get groups and soloing becomes boring. I prefer multiplayer games these days, prearranging with mates to group up for a couple of hours and play through something. I wish games like Oblivion and Thief had multiplayer, maybe Elder Scrolls V will. At least there is Never Winter Nights, but even that wasn't great.
