lil bit dif type of request...
ok so ive been playing mmorpgs for awhile now (prob 5+yrs) and just get bored with most quickly... So recently i played WoW (i know surprise huh?! jk) loved it at first, played it for a few months, had allot of diff things that i liked esp the auction house... but like most of em i became bored... got back on it a few months later and only did a mere 5-10 lvls more (somewhere around lvl 40+ on my main), then got bored and just played the auction hosue for a month straight...
Im mainly looking for a game designed like WoW, But FREE... most of the mmorpgs that are out now are just like another that are the asian style only thing you can do is kill to lvl cuz the quest are lamer than the rewards from doing them, that norm involve killing x amount of x...
so the list...
-Some decent quest...Not just kill x amount of x to lvl
-A GOOD AUCTION HOUSE style... cant stand the 500000 vendors of people selling the same shit from their personal booths that just lag the game up... loved WoWs auction house, cuz its addicting and i always try to find ways to take advantage of it
-A good crafting system... this one not so much, just a nice small add-on to games that i enjoy. like on wow how you could create potions or your armor
-Variety, like your armor not being a full body suit, such as head, chest, arms, feet, legs...
-some good people... on wow i found it hard to ask for help and get it, like if i needed help with a quest or someone to shoot the shit with while teaming up
-dont really care too much for graphics as long as it doesnt look like runescape
-Free to play OR free TRIAL... dont care if there is other people paying for items, just dont care to pay to play atm unless its a trial that gets me hooked
im thinking about trying Runes of Magic, or Bounty Bay Online... any advise?

Your tastes probally match runes of magic though runes of magic is a clone of worldwarcaft i enjoyed it and its free to play and it fits mostly evreything in your list im just not sure about how many friendly people are in the game.
thanks for the request trying to get that game to work now... tried eve online in the mean time... its fun but the learning curve is out of this world and kinda bores me... im waiting for my last day of trial so i can attempt to go awol on friendly's lol

To be honest mate, we are in the same boat sailing across a endless sea.
You play a game.. you drop it. over.. and over.. and over. Sometimes even reverting back to the same game you already dropped. We are the homeless sailing gamers. Keep looking though, i'll keep my eyes open. (yes you don't need to listen for MMO's)
