First saw MMORPG.com in around 2005, but I lost my account since then.
Made this one after I rage quit FFXI for the 2nd time. Been rather active since then.
My question is this, if you are such an old member why don't you post more? I'm sure you have things to add in many conversations if you've been watching the industry as long as you have been.
Admin is still around and he posts more than you do.

I am sure a few staff have you beat, although you got me by two years. Craig & Ben (founders) I would guess are older. I suppose that's cheating though.

well, to be honest, since DAoC there has not really been much change to the formula for mainstream MMORPGS and most attempts at being "unique" has gone down the drain.
I was looking forward to DF, but...
most people argue that a lot of games being released now is a WoW clone, to me though, WoW Is a DAoC clone, what sets WoW appart from DAoC has been the storyline and the familiar Warcraft lore.
in truth WoW is a polished version of DAoC.
but as far as gameplay its all the same
so there has not been anything worth posting about.

Dana, to be fair i only registesterd late, after being a reader of the website for a good while, back when i was first coming here there was no advertisement on the site at all, and very few and weak competitions.
in fact i think i registed only to take part in a poll.

YAY a DAOC fan.
DAOC was my first true MMO love, I played UO at release and switched to EQ1 for a while...
Once DAOC came out though I never looked back, that game seriously was the most fun I've had in an MMO to date. I wish that Mythic did not make the huge mistake that is Warhammer and instead made DAoC2.
I'm sure THAT game would have been a great enjoyment to play.
When will they learn? Just because it has an IP label on it does not mean it will sell well, or be a good game.

Do you have enough posts to be considered "active"?

I'm "active" on this site. Just never post
You got me beat.
Anyone else notice the "newer" guys have a crap ton of posts versus us guys that have been around 3 times as long?
Just like me. I enjoy reading the post they make me cry and me laugh
All MMO's have grinds. If you don't like to Grind then MMO's are not for you.
Sorry, I just am a really talkative kinda guy, I love conversations of all types, mostly I like being involved in them. Not everyone is that way.
Im amazed by the guy whos from 03 and has Cecil's picture and only has 7 posts, thats pretty epic.
Side note: First guy posted actually registered the year I graduated from high school... man I feel old now.
Don't feel bad, I'm only 1 year away from you.
Been here a while myself and I have a ton of posts :P.
