Hi all, i will jump right into it and say, i'm probally one of the most unknowning ppl, when it comes to building or buying a PC/laptop.
So seeking some advice, to build a good gameing laptop.
My budget is on 1500-2000$, i live in Europe so if you can refear to sites from Europe it's great, otherwise still great cause i will just import it .
Condition:
On my regular PC i played Final Fantasy XI, and i played some WoW.
All i really would want is it can play the new FFXIV very well whitout any lag, and that i would be able to tab out to do research on net while playing, whitout it starts some major lagging, or even duel box, again whitout lag or delays, and then to do some work, and it can keep up whit the upcomming games for the nxt few years.
I would love if it was possible to get a big screen, like 17" or bigger. i'm aware laptops aint great for gameing due to they get hot, but still i would like one for it.
As i said if anyone can make or tell me a setup i should order for a great gameing laptop that can forfill those conditions i wrote, i would super appreciate it, and i wont mind to give some cash to someone who can make me up a super laptop if it hits the budget and i got a few 100$ left, i will gladly give 100-200$ for one to bring me up whit a super laptop choice.
thx

If you mean no lag with max settings, I doubt a 1000-2000 dollar laptop will get that. If it would, that battery life will be probaly like 1 hour and be a very heavy laptop that generates tons of heat and need a cooling surface to sit on. Better off getting a desktop for that price and will be able to max it out. Gaming laptops are massively expensive and are meant for more of a mobile workstation or desktop replacement.
But here it goes, I recommend the MSI GT725-212US, its one of the best laptops you can get for price/gaming performance ratio and will run you about $1,600.
Here is a comparison between this laptop and a beast $5000+ mobile workhorse:

That website also shows all the specs on the MSI for you.

it's not possible to get something decent for the 1000-2000 ?, i know i cant avoid some lag. it,s just to be gameing a few hours in bed or something when i aint sitting at my pc, dont mind it's a bit heavy. and wont use whitout charger connectet so battery life no problem.
I updated my post for you up above. Let me know what you think.

oh of course it is possible to get a laptop for under 2000 bucks that will CRUSH any game out there for the foreseeable future.
i personally just got one delivered this morning, i spent under $1500 with it, and as soon as im done installing the drivers ill have a benchmark contest and win against 90% of the peoples desktops here no doubt.
Death i think the look of the laptop is amazing, and the price on one of the sites 900x was amazing, but again i dont know where even to start looking for if it's good or bad.
i know that 4gb ram is good, and should be more then enough.
its a 17" whitch is amazing to.
and 4 usb ports are great to.
but all the other stuff i'm completly blind, would i be haveing any problems playing ff14 in duel box or surfing on net same time as playing?
this is my PC i got atm, i can post stats, i dont even know if its a good pc, but i been glad whit it so far and it give me no problems, so if we say that this pc is 5 stars, how meny stars would it match up to the laptop, i guess that's only way i can compare it a bit, if you dont mind looking into it, really i appreciate all the help.
here are stats:
2,5gb ram

The laptop I posted is a quad core cpu, meaning it has 4 cpus, this will be powerfull enough for all that you require, hands down and the 4gb ram is a definite plus as you mentioned. I have no doubt that this laptop will be amazing for you, I highly recommend it and for that 900+/- price is an AMAZING deal, if I had the money I would buy 5 of them. This laptop can play some of the most demanding games at ultra high settings, such as Crysis and Farcry 2 so it will be perfect you. The only good thing about this computer that you posted is the Nvidia Geforce 8800 Ultra, a very good video card, otherwise the CPU is dated. The CPU in the laptop will be about 5-7 years more advanced.

it does look amazing, ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4850 how good graphic card is that?, compared to the one i got in my pc.
and 2ghz aint that a bit low? or is it pretty normal
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4850 is the second fasted ATI Laptop video card, it should stack up decently with your 8800 Ultra.
The 2.0ghz is pretty normal for a laptop, but its a quad core which makes it alot better. Most laptops have dual core, or 1 core centrinos.

thx death only got few last questions.
this laptop, would it be able to duel box WoW whitout any probs?.
and is it windows vista it has? i couldent figure it out, is it for a limited time or something.
and that site where it cost 900, is it trustworthy, cause i live in denmark, and planning on buying 2 of em, whitch adds up a bit the risk if something goes wrong.-
1. Yes, you will be able to play mutiple instances of WoW on this laptop. .
2. Yes, its Windows Vista Home Premium.
3. I believe the site is trustworthy, but you can talk to their customer support if you really want to find out. They take currency in the form of US Dollar, GB Pound, Euro, Canadian Dollar, and Austrailian Dollar.

that's great death, i just contactet support, if evrything goes great, and when we recieve the laptops, i will defently pay you some, i been looking for so long.
Wow.. that laptop for $960 is an amazing deal.. I haven't heard of that site before but they say they ship in 3-4 days too? Everything on their site is like 40% off, sounds too good to be true Would you update this when the laptops show up and tell me how their service was?
sure thing quarter, i'm a bit shockt myself.
but i'm buying 1 for me and 1 for gf, but i will tell how goes whit that site, it's true evrything on that site is like 50% seems unreal.
Wow, please let us now how everything went with that website. Amazing deals.
I dunno the more I look into that site the less trustworthy it seems. If you google maps their address there's no company named that there and they don't provide a phone number that I could find, shipping is $15 no matter where you say you are and they give $50 discount for wire transfers (because they can't be cancelled?). So.. doesn't seem legit to me
Plus the site is apparently only 2 weeks old..
i can't see how a legit company can be selling the new alienware for that much cheaper than dell/alienware sells it themselves. something is off.
They are a wholesaler, I believe.

Let me know when you get those benchmarks and we can compare.

(well i shold say i only did 3dmark06, have not done any demo benchmarks)

Aye man, good catch. They look secure and a legitimate site from sales search engines, but apparently not. Sorry bout that bro, just thought I would show you the good deal because it came up. I still recommend that laptop though for the simple fact its top line quality for a good price.

np death, i would had postet it myself if i found it. maybe they are legit just cause they new dosent mean they scam, but i dont know, better take chances whit the right prices but yea im probally buying that laptop after all i like it alot
