Hi Im new here so please please don't kill me for asking this if its been asked!!!
What are the best games for PVP. I Play EQ2 and well I miss the 'danger' that PVP offers!! I know it can get annoying at times but I like it (I miss the term their is a PK'er out there).

I can't really think of any good PvP MMORPG's that are already out, so keep an eye out for Darkfall, Mourning, and Dark & Light.

Lineage 2 has good PvP. There is clan wars, alliance wars and castle sieges. You can even PvP any player you want.
I have no idea about the other games who have PvP in it, since Lineage 2 is the only game I play.
I think matrix online will have PvP, if you can wait hehe
Best all around PvP MMORPG currently out is Anarchy Online. Players can take control of the land, gameworld, actual map. And set up defenses to defend their land while they are offline, or off adventuring, or while the rest of their guild is offline.
Next is EvE Online. Players decide before hand how much risk they take. The rewards = the risk.
Then TDZK. Players can take over planets from other players, destroy each others ships, raid starports (had to put that in, even though its NPC starports heheh.) loot money you are carrying (but not the money you deposit in your bank.) And loot ship cargo. Defenses can also be set up on planets players own.
Next is.... Star Wars Galaxies. It needs 2 1/2 more things, then it would have the best ever PvP in history - PvP for landcontrol (which AO does have.). Delete Jedi and/or make them as intended aka with permadeath. And put the combat game mechanics back to how it was during the first 4 months of release... back when Range ruled Melee, back when no one could solo a Rancor or other uber monsters, back when the best armor was at most 40% across the stats resist (instead of the current 80%). SWG has a VERY UNIQUE feature - players can have NPC armies fight with them. Either humanoid NPCs you meet, or humanoid NPCs you own.
Then in distant 4th is Dark Age of Camelot. The main problem with DAoC PvP is after you, or your guild take over a keep, the enemy simply waits for the victors to log off, then walk in and easily take it back.
Behind it is Shadowbane. SB is even worse than DAoC with how easy it is for the losing side to re-take what the winners won, after the winners log off.
Special mention for... Runescape. The winner gets to loot everything the loser has... except for the 3 most valuable items the loser is carrying. The hardcore PvP takes place in the wilderness in the far northern area of the gameworld.
Special mention for Age of Chaos. Some of the most brutal, hardcore PvP in a MMORPG. No one can log off heheh. Intresting hardcore PvP. Having a cloaking ship is a must have heheh. But there are strats for non-cloaking ships.

Oh well, when I cancelled it was rifleman/combat medic combo for sure, but they have putted another doc buffs in to increase your resist against deseases and poison so screw the combat medic stuff. Just take out the 80% armour and doc buffs and ding dong you got some good pvp settting. And don't forget they are promising a combat rebalance (yeah I know it is going on for more then a year)

I left the games around 4 months ago. Reason : the deveopers took too long to fix thing. Remember the imperial hats? No one can wear it since the launch of the game! It was not fixed for more than a year. I dont know if you can wear them now.

Matrix Online has GREAT PvP (balanced!! OMFG!) there's an article about MXO PvP at the matrix Warcry site.
Dark And Light supposedly will have a good PvP system...
I'd stay away from SWG and AO for PvP.....SWG is vary un-balanced, and PvP usually consists of spamming dizzy/knock-down over and over. AO is notoriously unbalanced, and LAGGY...at large tower fights, you get about 2 FPS and it takes about 20seconds for your stuff to come off. I played the game for well over two years, trust me on that.
Back in teh day, Neocron was an excellant PvP game, but the bugs are just HORRIBLE, the population is pathetic, and their payment/accounts company will actually call you at home, and spam you. Not to mention the GMs are corrupt beyond belief.
