Cute game with smoother graphics

Hey MMORPG.com. Thanks for taking the time to read this thread, first of all;

 

I am looking for a vivid game with good, but smooth/stable graphics. I mean by good graphics not only extremely aesthetically pleasing, but also has a good engine to run the models, etc. etc. A great example would be, say any online 3D game, take KAL Online for example (First game that popped up, no offense to anyone). The graphics are OK, which I'm fine with; I'm not a graphic-whore like most of the posers these days gaggling about graphics like it's everything. However, the lines, which I have no clue how to explain, or when the character model meets the environment (area), the lines between them or so are jagged, the animations are somewhat choppy, etc. Also, ether Saga online, for example has the same problems, great graphics, but just wierd engine with a horrid WASD control system that you can't use to its max potential and a jump feature which allows you to defy the laws of physics by letting go of any WASD key in which you were pressing during a jump and it just stops your jump velocity completely.

Also, I don't like too much of serious graphics, taking a crappy graphic engine like Maplestory; I am fine with too, it's stable and smooth. R.O.S.E. online, for example, very childish looking but fun. Serious and realism isn't always the best; especially for MMOs in my opinion.

Taking the year I played World of Warcraft for, I truly enjoyed it considering the great WASD controls, graphics were above average and the graphics and engine were extremely smooth. I'm not sure if anyone will understand what I am truly looking for, due to my lack of skill with explaining something like this, but just to break it down.

An anime-ish style game or so, nothing too serious looking. OK to Great graphics, but must have smooth engine to run the graphics in, no choppy renders, etc.

 

Comparisons : World of warcraft smooth graphic engine to KAL Online jagged graphics to Ether online uncomfortable animation engine.

 

I don't know what to say, it just feels comfortable playing a game like WoW as compared to any other. I quit WoW due to it getting boring, I felt like resuming but did not want to pay. Maplestory was ok since my friends played it but no longer feel as if it's worth playing. R.O.S.E. you need a cleric to level up anywhere near as fast as anyone else, and most other games just suck. I'm looking at Ragnarok 2 but it's not released yet.

    The game for you is Aion, your looking for control, graphics and anime.  Many of the F2P is point and click and if they do have WASD, they usually don't have strafe.  You didn't mention if strafe was important but it is to me as i use MMO controls like an FPS.  This is a P2P and comes out in Sept. so please read their forums and youtube it.

    I could also recommend Shaiya but it may not be cutesy, it's filled with scantily clad women.  They have the best controls for a F2P <--- In my opinion.

    Also you want to check out Neosteam, theres two versions one for EU and one for NA.  So pick the right one, the NA is done by Atlus.  It is VERY cute (look up POM POM) and has good WASD controls.  Neosteam is F2P.

    edit again, lol:  Aion gameplay is VERY smooth.  Neosteam graphics are NOT very good.  But you can use your video card to enhance them.  Just don't use Anti Aliasing as it will cause trails.
