Aion Pre-order beta question, also what to play to satisfy my cravings? /moved

ocealicocealic Member Posts: 5

Okay starting off, yes I know generic Aion topic. My question is if I preorder can I put in my key and play or the only play times are on the scheduled dates and its useless the rest of the time. My next question is, what free mmo can I play to keep my busy while I wait for aion, I have an active account but im so tired of the generic medieval, boring mmo. So all suggestions welcome and thank you in advanced for an answer :D

Gah! the wait is killing me!

ack xP well thats lame, I see why tho, well, i'll preorder anyways. Also is there anyway for me to see if I can run it before the preorder? Like maybe can I get a chinese trial or beta maybe? I just want to see how it runs on my comp.

    What's your comp?

I tested Aion on my old AMD x2 6000, ddr1 pc5200 4gb ram, 7200.11 seagate, 4870x2 (Win xp pro) and it ran like a CHAMP on Full settings.

The only time it ever bogged down to like 19 fps was when I was near the lake with a shit load of people near the first town in the Elyos side.

Now I recently built an i7 920 OC at 3.6 system using vista business 64 with triple channel 6b ddr3 1600 ram, wd caviar black 1tb hdd (same vid and psu) and I never drop below 60 fps.

    I play at 1920x1200 and it's visually orgasmic..... :)

That said, irreguardless of your situation my friend, the fact of the matter at hand is, that in reality, from my perspective, things can only suck if your PC is really old, capische? w

Well it just worries me because Id love to play this game even on low or medium.

Lets see though, Im on a laptop (worried yet?) lol an HP Pavilion DV6100 only about a year old, i can run a good bit of stuff including COD4 and that game perfect world, which I thought the graphics were wonderful on there, as for the game bleh.

I have a NVIDIA GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M as SystemReq Labs tells me, I always forget lol,

    You Have: 2 processors running - AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60

    and 3 gigs of ram.

    Any hope for me?

I forced my friends to get Aion Regardless of being on low medium or high settings the game still looked beautiful just a little less depth and color. He ran Aion just fine with recommended settings and he uses a single core AMD 3800 with 2GB of ram and a 7900.

My other friend was able to get everything on max with AMD 4800+ Duel core and a 8400 3GB old ddr2 ram.

The optimize FPS and chracter detail will have your PC running fine and still looking good. I force triple buffering and X32 alias with 8 pre-rendered frames on max and never drop 50 FPS

You will be fine, but I am a little concerned with your video card. Single core proccessor proved to run this game looking fine and 3GB on XP is good.

So do you think ill be okay? I sure hope so, this game looks great. Ive noticed that I can usually run things that take double my video memory, I run things that require 120 mb fine. Also im on windows 7, will this pose any problems?

I think fixed most of the Win7 issues.
