Is it me, or does the official forums sound like a fairy tale?

Reading what some of the developers and community manager post, MO seems like a fairy tale where nothing bad will ever happen and that their game is the perfect game.

Are they just pulling wool over everyones eyes because they making themselves look perfect?

Here is one "our game is perfect" quote:

"Mortal Online using Unreal Engine 3.5 with Atlas is the best possible network solution available when using Unreal Engine 3."

Looking for others right now.  There was another I wont quote here, because what could happen, has not yet.

I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say this isn't a troll post.

I can't be certain you and I are looking at the same game here. As far as I can tell the devs have been open with all the short comings of the game. Of coarse we can't be absolutely certain until the NDA is lifted or the leaks start flowing, but I have a feeling they aren't hiding anything because they have seen what happens to other companies when they lie.

Hmmm....a post questioning a game that will directly compete against Zeno's chosen game....no conflict of interest there, nope.

This post would have more impact if it wasn't posted by one of the DF hardcore fans, as it is, it's simply transparent.

Who says I am not pre-ordering MO?

My chosen game is Shadowbane.  Only a month or two from being able to play it again too, thanks to some hard work our folks are doing at a website I can not mention.

There are alot of fuzzy picture posts on the MO forums.  They can fix anything over there.

I don't know...  Sometimes I think they are really serious people making a good game... other times think they are doing the same as Tasos but without all the noise.

Because we don't have anything. The only good thing about MO is that they are not full of absurdity as Tasos was. But we haven't seen anything solid yet.

On top of that, we don't have the prices yet, 9 hours before the shops open.

I'm having second thoughts about this game.

Who knows if they are I do not visit the MO forums much but I do know they have made videos before that showed flaws and bugs but still posted them up for a bit of fun. Got to give them credit for that even if it was early alpha I know game companies who would go at nothing but to hide bugs and flaws that are released in product videos even if it was alpha stages.

Here's a hint: developers are Euopeans - Swedes even. You can't get more proffessional and serious than that.

Just my oppinion, I have worked for and with swedes, they're great folks.

Better to be crazy, provided you know what sane is...

It's also swedes who made Eve Online...

From what I have gathered they are opening the shop before you can actually buy the game and there you can check the price.

All other concerns aside I dont really see the problem of them not announcing the price, its not like they are going to tell you to write a blank cheque and post it, there will be a price when you buy it, wether its announced now or before you click buy its irrelevant.

You enter into a shop for buying a pair of trouser:

what would happened in the past years:

-you can check size (system req) and price of the trouser before paying it

what it looks that happen now when you enter into the same shop:

-you pick up a random pair of trouser and without knowing the price you pay it and after that the employed tell you the size.

    Not really...

The only difference is that instead of being able to know the size and price by calling or checking their website  you'll know it when you get to the store and start looking at pants.

No biggie, not like I need 5 hours to decide "hmmm... the pants cost 40$ are are my size.... hmmmmmmmm do I buy them or do I go back home....."
