As title sates any one have any evidence otherwise? was really looking forward for this mmo to hit retail and praying it wont turn into a F2P looking for some solid faq's not he said she said junk

wasn't the studio that was making this having financial difficulty?
MMO wish list:
-Changeable worlds
-Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads
thats what i hear but i still havent seen any official new's release on that. all i hear is that "someone" says they are hurting and to be honest i beleive they are but i would like to see somthin simi solid so i can let old dogs lay so to speek anyway.
If you bothered to read any forums you would find an abundance of evidence. Let me sum it up for you, although I'm sure to be missing a few points as the brews have me fuzzy:
1) Employees have not been paid since sometime in March. This is the second time in the last year the paychecks have dried up. Website cme-skipped-payroll.com has a ticker showing how long it’s been since any pay has been made.
2) Dan Elggren's wife blogs about how he is leaving the studio for Gazillion Games due to lack of pay and that over 100 people/friends have left CME.
3) Links to numerous lawsuits against CME due to nonpayment of contractual obligations. Some suits have judgments already.
4) Another CME wife makes a post on the CME boards regarding lack of pay and she gets crucified and subsequently banned.
5) Lack of any real updates from CME. All screen shots released are from 2008. No announcement of additional funding.
6) I’ve talked to investors who are worried they have completely lost their money.
How much more proof do you need to stop dreaming the dream? I bet you’re one of those people who would never believe your wife would cheat on you -- unless you caught her in bed with another man?

Really saying something like this really dumb unless you know it to be the gods honest truth, I know most of the recent shots uploaded are not from 2008, so are you purposefully misleading people with comments like that , that also makes me wonder how many of your other facts are actual truths as well.......

One of the problems here is that IF the investors had invested in CME then we wouldn't be in this situation. As far as I know, most of the investors didn't invest in CME, but another company that has stock in CME, 'basically how to invest money in a company and then have no say so at all how its run'. Now if all this stock had gone to investors the investors would have control on the company and the decisions being made. But people for some reason invested in another company that had stock of CME. If anything these investors should have thought something was wrong, a guy hyping CME and asking for investors to invest there money in SGW and CME, only to then invest in another company, and have absolutely no direct say in CME, they cant even talk to CME, since in CME's eyes these people are nothing, they can only to speak to the company they have invested in.
Actually the screenies are all 2008 screenies from Alpha/beta/whatever, if you were in the "beta" test you'll know and people on the official site have mentioned it. So what you're saying Yellow is that Whiting scammed the current investors in SGW? I can see why they're worried as they've probably only recently looked properly due to missed milestones and payroll not being met.

way to misread what i said AGAIN...
You assume to much, do you know 100% no one has done any developing on the server or the client this year, or even recently ? And that the recent set of images released for SGW were not created this year, or even in the last couple of weeks? Because your answer is gonna dictaate whether I just ignore your posts in future, I don't mind having a debate but your answer to this particular question will basically show me how much you really know....
Next I didnt say anything of the sort to your interpretation which came out as 'So what you're saying Yellow is that Whiting scammed the current investors in SGW?' this is what you think, re-read my post, the only opinion I made was that I wouldn't have invested my money like this ( I know many companies that do this, personally I wouldn't touch them). If anything you try to jump on any fact you either don't understand or you can misquote. Really I don't want to fall into a he said she said situation, just please don't base your assumptions as they are fact. You will end up with egg on your face more than not.
Actually, your statements lack any sort of credibility and in fact, you appear far less credible than the other posters, several who have followed this situation quite closely and reported on it regularly.
I'm inclined to believe them over you, who seem to be here to split hairs and start a fight.
Don't worry about ignoring anyone, just don't bother posting.
SGW is going to be remembered as one of the biggest MMORPG scams right up there with DnL.

I don't believe I said that no one has done any developing did I? I merely stated what has been stated here and on the official site, that those screenies are from early Beta last year nothing more.
On the other subject I don't believe I assumed anything, but was asking the question as to wether you believe Gary Whiting had scammed investors or not. I'll ask agian, do you believe that Whiting scammed the investors in SGW?
If you could point out assumptions I've made out to be facts I'd appreciate you pointing that out. As for ending up with egg on my face, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?

MMOGULS is saying they are affiliated with? CME and SGW, this is completely untrue, there is no business agreement or contract between "CME, Firesky or MGM" and MMOGULS, the use of the company name and the SGW games is misleading as no official agreement exists between these 2 companies., the name 'Cheyenne Mountains and Affiliates" is just that a separate entity and has no connection with the company 'Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment', they have worded by the company to mislead people."

Okay, I dare anyone to ask on the Stargate Forums what is this "Stargate Battles" name that keeps getting mentioned over and over. What is Stargate Battles? Why should we care about Stargate Battles? Then ask them how many people are actually working on Stargate Worlds. Ask them when that last milestone was met on Stargate Worlds.

CME cannot come out and say that Startgate Worlds is officially shelved as they are 1) still hopeful to get sizable investment infusion. 2) What little cash flow Gary is getting from MMOGULS to fund his divorce (no MMOGULS money has made it's way to payroll) would go away since MMOGULS is so wrapped around Stargate Worlds 3) this would cause the investors who think there is a prayer that they might not lose their investments to FREAK OUT 4) It would further demoralize the interns who are hoping to get Stargate Worlds on their resume! and 5) MGM might have something to say.

Well, with the 'news blackout' about anything of substance, and reading the forums (both here and at the official CME), I'd say that 'Yes, they're having difficulties'. As a former beta (yes, NDA.. sorry... I recuse myself from further "beta" testing), they haven't even contacted US in terms of what difficulties they'd had (and they had a lot) and what they could fix.. and what they were testing and working forward with.
Wouldn't you communicate with your core testers who put time and effort in to be at a place at a certain time to see if certain systems that couldn't handle the game could with updates and checks? I know I would. I know many, many MMO companies that actually.. oh my god, COMMUNICATE to make a BETTER GAME.

The sad thing about "stargate battles" is that you can download mods for halflife 2 for free. Not sure how the free workers of CME folks expect to turn a profit with this genius of a idea, or how the rabid fans of Stargate Worlds are going to accept this as the game they’ve been waiting for.
Stargate battles is the thing you have the left-over developers make who can't work on a real MMO because everyone's gone /chuckle. Have to keep them working on something to earn that free lunch!
