i prefer to be active on the official game forums. i find it difficult to engage in ananymous discussions, especially when i have no idea if the people positng here even play the games on which they are comment. plus there are so many different agendas. people hold vendettas and post negative comments based on their attitudes towards a company, not on a specific game, so why should i take their posts seriously?
i simply review the threads/posts to get an a feeling about people's opinions in the aggregate.
I was such a noob when I registered for the forums. I didn't even notice this site had forums for a while lol... BTW anyone remember MurtBijani I use to always read his posts.... just someone I can recall from when I would always read the forums.

How can you judge a person just by knowing that they have played video games since at least '02. That just goes to show how naive the new generation of MMORPG players are, and how quick to jump the gun they are on saying something that others will critique them on.

I signed up for this forum in 2003, but been playing MMO's since 1999. Used to always use the VNboards otherwise would of signed up sooner. I miss the golden age of MMO's tbh.
Yea but you can still find it mate if you look really hard. i found it with indie developers. There are a few sleeper titles that are on the way that will bring back that old feeling.

contribute what? mindless jibber jabber about how WoW is crap and how #insert name of game# is the next wow killer......seriously its not like anything you say or do in these forums really matters....its just for fun..if someone never posts fine....at least he is enjoying himself
Hmm let's see what date I joined ... I want to say '05. I have been reading the site for a long time now though... so long ago that I remember being in the Wheel of Time mmo forums (an MMO of WoT from back in '03 probably, if not earlier. The group was waiting for permission from Jordan, but apparently never receieved it because the forum just shut down, and the site vanished), and one of the site founders came in and posted that they needed writers for this site. I volunteered, but I think the forum shut down right after, :P.
Heh checkers, I'm more of a chess man. As far as games go, I've been playing since Pong on an atari, Zork on the ol' IBM, Space Invaders on the arcade stand up.
