ive hered good and bad about this games PvP and a big part of mmorpg's is PvP at least to me so please if you played this game can you tell but i know there are going to probably be a few people who havent played this game who are going to say somthing but please i want people who have played the game

up front im gunna say i havent played much, i have only played at my friends house
but from what i have played, i liked the pvp, it wasnt outstanding, but it wasnt worthless...but i really like L2, if i had enough money i would easily choose that. --sorry for being brief

I like the idea of open pvP, but the death penalty was much too harsh for a game with such a harsh XP and adena grind... so I voted no.

I dont care, I like harsh penalties in open PvP. I dont really mind getting PK'd if I have a good guild, because you can go get that PKer 10x harder. More competitive when you can kill the highest level in the server with a group of players. I loved Tibia, no lvl cap, and open PvP

so you're saying it would be better if you could mindlessly slaughter newbies and steal their items then proceed to walk around freely? i think not...
IMO Lineage 2 has some of the best PvP around... the castle sieges and clan wars are unmatched, the arena and coliseum battles are intense, and the open PvP is just icing on the cake...

There is more to tibia, if you atk someone you are going to pay for what you have done. You just need to make friends fast, then you will be fine. I think it just adds competitiveness into the game, even though many time I have wanted to throw my computer against the wall, I still loved the game.
As far as L2 goes, its awesome PvP, but there isnt a big incentive to open PKing. The only pkers are the high level power abusers, I think it would be nice if there was guild PvP, so if you see someone from another enemy guild you kill him. Creates conflict between guilds and fun PvP

lineage 2 pvp sucks.... if you kill someone else higher or lower lvl you go red, and then every player you meet in the game will try to kill you!! but if you die as red theys a very very high chance you drop a lot off items. and each time you kill someone you karma witch indicates your red will go up double so you have to kill 400 monsters to get it down or get killede at least 2-4 times!
Then there is a lot off 4 lvl players who dellevele from 40 or something so you wont lose exp or drop items in lvl 4, but they have the best stuff so they can still slay you as lvl 20 and then you lose hours off exp! dont know if they fixed this bug in cronicle 2
theys also the 60 lvl charecters who is still in lvl 60 running around with a starter item and pking every charecter from lvl 4-30
castle siege sucks you have to be at least lvl 40 to be in a castle siege but it takes 2 month off 4-6 hours of gaming a day to get there, but in that time if you get pkede or get slaguter bye a monster you can lose your weapon or armor then you have to farm for weeks to afford the same weapon
doont play the game go WOW or EQ2...
i have to admit the PvP portion of L2 was pretty good, the rest of the game was crap (there were a few exploits with the PvP system that made you angry sometimes, also) if you want a game with open PvP like this, then wait for darkfall, dark and light (RvR type), and i think wish will be open PvP also.
