Teddy Kim, Atlantica Online Product Manager, writes this week's MMORPG.com developer journal about the game's upcoming patch.
It's a new month, and it's time for a new patch, with great new features just around the corner. In the last journal, we hinted at the Hwarang's arrival with an in-depth feature. Well, the wait's over, and players will be finally able to get their hands on the Hwarang. As we mentioned previously, the Hwarang quest will be available near the level 112 dungeon, Bulguksa, from a Hwarang NPC named "Kim Yoo Shin." But that's just a small piece of the large up-coming patch.
One of the biggest changes players will notice is the upgrade of our game engine. Atlantica was optimized to perform at a smoother pace with less loading times for those with lower-end machines. Those who frequent Rome, the hub of Atlantica, will notice that issues that normally arise due to high population will be less apparent. Furthermore, an automatic graphic option has been added. So depending on the situation, graphical settings will be adjusted automatically to increase performance. Of course, we don't want to force anything on the players so this feature is entirely optional and can be changed in the graphics menu.

I guess better late then never
if they really want to fix economy unbalances you dont wait 3 months after abuse happens... but guess that is all to complicated for me to understand *sigh
Have to see how it effects the monk in pve lol.
I cant wate to see the new mercs)
I do wish they would hurry up with the new mercs. I thought we were getting the first in June? (Korea has the first two).
Anyway, the real reason though that people are using two monks, is not that they are overpowered, but that the popular builds of the moment are overpowered, needing two mercs to counteract. Stun builds, musicians, and double spears.
Yeah, they didn't used to be so dominant, but when they nerfed physical damage, PvP became all about stun.
R.I.P. City of Heroes and my 17 characters there
If they wanted to fix the economy they would have never crashed it with that horrible jackpot disater. As for the other changes, as usual it is all geared to super high level players, with nothing new or expansive for midrange lvl 70-100 players. Which is where most playrs get bored and quit the game...but NDoors has proven one thing above all, they have no clue how to really make overall improvements, it is all hit and miss and kind of sloppy and most obviusly pretty ovious that it isnt the players they are trying to improve the game for...but the item mall purchases that most things are geared to to do (Drive players to need item mall stuff to compete).
If they really want to balance the double-monk build, they should prevent double-monk build.
By nerfing monks players using single monk are also affected by this change, which is unfair.
I agree maccajnr...i just use 1 monk (mainly bcuz of awake and pve protect) but now i think i will switch monk for prophet for sure. Btw adding more counters wud be much better ;/
