2 quartz rocks, gold wire, 1000page note pad for memory, etch-a-sketch for moniter, 2 gerbils, 1 cat chasing them power supply, a old hallmark music playing card for sound, mini plastic xylophone keyboard, and a old timex watch <1977> for system bios.

    this system rocks!image

hi, i mostly just use the default settings, i get some lag with the 512 ram, but mostly its just there crappy zoning they have in the game that lags me. cant understand why they cant make a game without so much zoning, WOW can do it, horizons can, uo did it, seems mostly its eq and eq2 that cant cut the zoning times down. they should ask the ppl from eart and beyond how they cut theres down to a reasonable lvl.

You play EQ2 with 512 rams?

You must have a big room and low tolerance for farmyard smells. ::::01::

No kidding. I'm running EQ2 at 512 now (not for long) and it is pretty choppy. Playable on extreme performance though. But extreme performance is shite.

    AMD 2400+

    1 GB RAM

    BFG GeForce 6800 GT 256MB

I switch between High Performance (when in Qeynos) and Balanced (everywhere else)

I run at Very High Preformance.  But that is only due to the crappy dial up internet I have.

My system can view  a slide show at Extream Quality though.

Also I can play at Balanced but is a bit too glitchy for me.  I don't really care about the graphics because it's fun and good looking any which way.

P4 3.0 ghz,  128 mb gForce 4,  1024 mbs of ram ...and those three things are all that really maters along with connection speed.

    I'm on:

    AMD Athlon 2400+ @ ~2.0Ghz, 1024 DDR RAM, ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128-bit 256 VRAM OC'd @ 415.80/340.20, Cable, et al;

I usually run on a modified Balanced.  All tex are high, particles and light are high, but shadows are minimal, usually only shadows under trees and such.  I generally have steady performance (around 15-22 FPS, no real difference in cities*) on avg, but I do suffer from the memory leak issue they refuse to comment on, making it slow down after 2-4 hrs of gameplay.  Of course, after playing that long, its probably good I have something to break my mez image

I am loving the game (23 Dirge, FP aligned, AB server) so far - the only problem I see is that, at least the stage I am at, people wish to solo and it is hard to find a group.  It could also be because of the stupid holidays though~

*I must say I do get 'stuttering' similar to that which I get in MxO Beta and AC2 when I used to play it.  I think it has something to do with the way they make images appear, or perhaps network lag - it only seems to be in a few games, but always in games that never escaped 'beta'.  I do wish, instead of simply rendering the entire object, EQ2 had been made to 'fade in' the object from a distance.  I believe SWG or another recent game did this (I can't remember which).

I have an Athlon XP 2000, Geforce TI 4200 128 MB, 512 33 ddr ram.

Try this guys: set it at extreme performance. Then firstly change textures to medium or high. you will notice(if you system isn't too sucky) it will still run nice. then yu can add some other stuff and it will still run quite nicely, and will oook very good. Personally at the performance tree I lower the maximum rendered Pixels, from 1000 to 900. It increases performance a lot, and let's you ''cheat' a  bit. DOnt lower it too much, the image gets more blurry and jaggy if you do..

I play on custom and with the lowered max pixels, often I can put on shadows too, and yes thats playable. of course crowded cities can be laggy..
