Just by the fact they are not giving atleast a 7 day trial makes me think if they even want more players in the game. They got something to hide and just want people to buy "pig in the sack".

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but not their own facts.

I havnt honestly got far enough into the game to give this a particularly valid asnwer. What I can say however is that it already feels quite dangerous when you are fully laden with goods. Partly because if you are over the limit, while you can carry on gathering you get slowed down. Ive never gone too far over but I imagine (and hope) that you carry on until you barely move. It feels obvious when someone has a great load. You cant sprint so inherently you have a sense of panic if there is anyone around you.

Earlier today I was reading a book while mining (I actually love this, so many books I want to read that games with little down time suck out all my reading time) and was getting full. I let myself get engrossed into the book a bit too much (damn that Pratchett and his Discworld!) and at some point an alfar approached and took a couple of swings at me. I panicked hard and began running straight to camp, which I wasnt far from. He gave chase and nearly had me beat yet somehow my stamina kept going and I got to base. While I can acknowledge that mostly it was because it was my first pvp encounter, my heart was racing and a great relief hit me when I banked.

If I could burger king it up (have it my way) then global banks would hold enough to keep you going, a good supply of weapons and gear/mats but not so much you can rely on it always, with local banks holding greater amounts (are they infinite, at this point I dont know the bank limits..) meaning that you'd have your favorite hot spot which would inevitably get filled with your juicy materials. I love the idea of trade routes. One of the better parts of gathering in WoW is the logical, routed paths that herbs and mines take, and that you can follow them round, and be pretty much garanteed a player to engane in combat.

I think DarkFall would lend itself well to this idea and would help create yet another source of PVP. You just know that armoursmith in the human capital would love a ton of dwarven rocks to make his wares, and playing to that factor could really liven things up.

Today I have mostly been gathering, I did a little killing before the server went down for maintenance and ran around the town skilling up my sprint and jumping. That in itself was good fun, as you start to realize pretty much anything is climbable, which is in direct opposition to the anti wall-walking stance blizzard adopted in later years, and its refreshing. I have a friend who insists on going over *everything* and can see that really appealing to him. Sometimes it looks odd as you go up a really steep slope but you get a speed penalty, and sometimes you slip back down too. It appears to reward skillful jumping and terrain negotiation which again is just fun, because its rewarding.

When the server came back up (I really hope they dont stay with a 11am UK time maintencance..the boys need to learn to love caffiene and do that earlier) I went for a leisurely swim for about half an hour, looking for a good ..(the game just went silent, I tabbed back scared but I was just out of stamina).. place to fish. I eventually found one and have been fishing for a good while now, my bags nearly full, should be fun going back to town, hope I dont sink going back across the lake.

To some it probably sounds quite boring but Ive really enjoyed just bowling about getting my skills up in various ways, having that swim, fishing out from a little rocky island. Its been a good day again. My only concern is that without a soft skill cap, every one will be able to do everything, I dont think a single person should really be able to cover all aspects of crafting, for example, I was under the impression this is why you can only have the one character. Then again, I've read that there will be new high end skills being introduced, and these do have a limit, so I guess by the looks of things people will eventually have to specialize. If that is the case I can live with that. I don't know if there is skill decay, maybe a longer term player can answer me that one.

I bid you adieu, as always if you have any questions I'll do my best to answer them.

Edit: right now after finishing this post, I found a chaos chest at my fishing spot! It only had a 100G which I understand isnt the highest available but it sure is a nice reward!

I bumped into a fellow English man while playing today, we're both only 2-3 days in the game, but he decided to join the clan I'm in, which I hadn't really seen much of. But today we both went into enemy territory with another friend, we shot at someone through the trees and they got away, then found a chaos chest with 10000 gold in it xD So we split it 3 ways and used the bind rune to take us back home. Such a great victory. The ork lands were dead compared to the Alliance city we were given mounts to ride to, the alliance city was absolutely teeming with life, truly had the best day today. Glad you're enjoying it so far too :)

It is so refreshing to see a person actually explain their experience, leaving no doubt they are indeed even playing the game.
