Vote World of Warcraft as best PC Game of 2004

Thus far only a small perecntage of all voters for best PC game of 2004 chose an MMORPG. Help WOW beat Half-Life 2 and Unreal Tournmanet now.

    HL2 was already beaten by over 400 votes. lol.

    But what really ticks me off is that UT2004 is BEATING WoW???  Someone is definatly cheating or something, how can UT2004 be getting more votes than WoW?  Or heck, how can UT2004 have over 400 more votes than HL2?

    the game doesn't suck, I love it a lot, but it's the same thing as UT2003 except with vehicules and new levels.

    And the worst part is, people love UT2004 cause of the mods, not the actual game itself.

    Bah well, if WoW comes in second place after UT2004, we all know in our hearts which game deserved to be voted game of the year by 2404.org which is a site I've never heard before in my entire life.

    I said this yesterday in a different post and i'll say it again:

    "That poll is an absolute joke.

    All you have to do if disable cookies and you can vote as many times as you want. So one person(I'm not accusing anything here) could take 10 minutes out of their life and put in 200 votes for WoW. I'm sure it has happened already.. probably to UT2K4.

    I don't know how they are choosing Game of the year, but it better not be by looking at this poll.

    And MMORPGs have a huge advantage in online polls.. because well, they are online. Many, many people from MMORPGs visit forums, more than any other genre obviously.

    All of this is true, especially regarding an online game having an advantage in an online poll. Its still a farily close race, so apparently nobody felt the need to spend 2 hours creating 200 votes. Still it appears to be a 2 horse race, WOW and UT2k4. As I said previously, the poll is for the public vote for best game of 2004. The editors/writers at the site already had their polls for all the major categories.

    Yeah, these polls dn mean shit. People use scripts and bots to vote hundreds of times for each game. Just like last time, when Gamespy held a "Best game of all time" poll. They had to restart it because of all the cheaters.image

    pretty funny to see WoW rise skyhigh now and leave behind games like halflife 2 and UT2k4.. anyone taking this poll seriously should seriously take a chill pill

    True, fortunately we have been able to figure out more or less how many unique visitors we had to the site then take into account at least on vote per actual person visiting. So we actually have a solid idea of who is actually winning the poll, not the inflated numbers that contnue to show.
