Project Entropia - Worst community ever?

Ok after seeing this virtual island sell for 26,500 i thought i'd go check this game out. Its a nice lookin place. Its a decent concept. Unfortunately the game is populated by retards. Go figure right.. These guys know absolutely nothing of mmorpg etiquette. Ks'ing isnt even a 2nd thought. If theres an exploit its exploited. Oddly none of this seems to be frowned upon by the majority of players. I believe the average age of the community is 10. Still you get what you pay for and its free. I swear its like a big outlaw world. Anyway just thought i'd offer my 2 cents. Theres no project entropia forum here? lol

The game is great .. the community is sorely lacking

I doubt the average age is 10, since don't you actually have to buy thing in that game for real $$? probably 18+ then.

I wouldn't doubt it is full of immature people though.. when the object of the game is to sell things for $$ then I'm sure there are alot of greedy people. :P

Lol did you expect a fun loving, caring mmorpg? The objective is to make money for pretty much all of its users.

When real money is involved, it's no longer a game. It doesn't live by the same rules, so don't expect it to.

Yes there is a lot of Ks'ing and exploiters.. :/ stil there is many mature people in the game, and I love the game.... Btw, not many people are actually making money on the game, not even if they trap the monsters...

Don't worry. Being eaten by a crocodile is just like going to sleep. In a giant blender.

i gotta go the complete opposite on this one...

IMO, Project-Entropia had a great, tight-knit community... one of the best i've ever had the pleasure of playing with actually...

i played PE on and off for roughly a month in which time i managed to make about 300+ PED ($30 US) from nothing...

the people were helpful and friendly and VERY mature (practically everybody i met was older then me) so im not exactly sure where you got this "average age of the community is 10" thing

maybe you had a bad experience with a random "l33t d3wd" kiddie or something, but overall, PE has one of the best communities i've ever encountered...

I remember myself that I readed a post simelar to this one, but then for the WoW community. Oh well in every community you have such behaviors you don't want to know. And ifyou have the luck to meet them in person that is bad.

Is it PE (never played it) or WoW or an other mmorpg, you will ALWAYS meet immature people. Luckely the opposite is also true and for that long live /ignore (if it is there). And my best expierience with community was in AC2 (Dawnsong) and SWG (europe-infinity). It also depended from server to server and the time of day ::::39::

well maybe you should give it a few days
but if u visit most forums and maybe towns besides the beginner ones
you will get more in touch with the community ;)

we even have a society called 'old alphas' whose members are all over 30

of course you always got ks'ers or pk'ers that are a pain to most ppl
as a newbie you are also a main target for scam attempts..

but all of this is heavily discusssed in and out of game...

most significant is that in PE its normal to say hi to anyone if ur out hunting/mining..

i didnt see that often in other games..
