I hate grinding

Alexk91Alexk91 Member Posts: 9

I dont waste time just killing monsters again and again... just to level or quests

So I'm looking for a MMO without grinding and those very litle original missions (collect x, kill x)

Tried Guildwars and EVE already

There's no real grind to it.  You simply play the game and you level.

I think in any game theres a certain amount of grinding.  I mean, you gotta pay your dues before you get to level 50, right?  Are you looking for a game that can give you max level the moment you register?  Or do you mean grinding for gear?

What exactly are you looking for in a game?

Sure, i'm not expecting reaching the max level at the moment I registrer, I dont want to spend countless hours leveling, or just killing monster for quest. I'm looking for a game with inovating quest and a litle of grinding, you know, some games are just grinding-games

Forget MMOs if you don't want too much grind. Aside from Guild Wars and Atlantica Online, other games offers massive grinds.

Instead I suggest you look into MORPGs such as Warrior Epic, Dungeon Fighter (once it enters OB that is), Diablo 2.

Ah, actually there's an MMORPG which, even though is has grind after level 30, it just doesn't matter because you can reborn 3 weeks later while keeping your skills level but reseting your character level to 1. That game is called Mabinogi and once you get a guild, it is pretty easy to enter any dungeons regardless of level. The main story has no requirements aside from Lv.7 for the very first quest. These quest in Mabinogi are not all like most MMORPGs, some will ask you to do actual work in order to gather certain items and not to grind them from monsters. Some quest will ask you to go back in the past of an NPC to reveal a bit more story. The game is not newbie friendly though.

Otherwise a few games you might want to check out despite not being exactly an MMORPG: Fallen Earth and Global Agenda

You really should try out DDO when it becomes free to play (august 6). No kill x or collect y quests. Just handcrafted dungeons with traps, puzzles and immersive stories. Great combat aswell!

    If WoW = The Beatles
    and WAR = Led Zeppelin
    Then LotrO = Pink Floyd

That is not called grinding, it is called gaining experience in combat.  If you don't want to gaine experience in combat, then stay at level 1.  Easy as that, people think grinding is at fault, but it is really people being lazy and are not MMORPG gamers.

To people that believe they should be rewarded for doing almost zero work, seriously, change genre.  Even single player RPG require you to level up even though it is slightly faster.  MMORPG just scaled it much higher due to there are many players at the same time.

People who complain about grinding are usually people who doesn't know what they want out of a MMORPG.  If you just want action games, go play action games.  Barely any leveling going on there.  Have a good day.

I think the thing is, some people want action-mmos.

I am playing EVE and it's alright... level V skills are a bit much.

You all need to learn to spell.
