World of Darkness

in The Pub at MMORPG.COM

This game was supposed to  start production  last March. I see no listing in MMORPG.COM's list of games.  CCP(EVE) was supposed to make it.  Any word?

    We already have it.  Its the blank screen saver from windows.  World of Darkness.  See?  Get it.  CCP is known for their screen savers masquerading as games=)  j/k

    Well White Wolf and CCP merged in 2007 and confirmed there would be a World of Darkness MMO.  Also after that Ambulation trailer a guy at CCP said that the same tech will be used in the World of Darkness MMO and that they will take many things from EVE (whether learned or tech) and apply it to World of Darkness.

    This site requires some screenshots and an official website I believe to add a game though, and CCP has had this under wraps.  It will show up when CCP officially announces it.  It seems based on what they've said it will be a late 2010-2012 game though.

    I've been waiting for somebody to make this game for years. I can't wait till this game comes out. I really hope CCP does a good job with this IP. I was happy when the Matrix came out and look how that game turned out.

    Well they seem to have a good track record, EVE is great though a little extreme.  I hope both qualities apply to World of Darkness, in other words I hope they don't try to make a WoW killer/"popular" game out of it.  I hope it has a steep learning curve like EVE to weed out the players who just want an easy game.

    It is based on the White Wolf pen and paper games - there are a few SPG's - Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines is one of them.  Would be Vampires, Werewolves, etc in modern times.

    Im playing through Vampire the masquerade bloodlines again at the moment and loving it.  Played loads of the pnp game while I was at colledge. V glad 2 here they are making an mmorpg. :) Vampires , Wearwolves, mages and Gosts,,,,u can't ask 4 more than that.

    i agree, however I will be in my 60's by the time it is playable 8(

    Oouch! I dont think your ever old enough 2 not enjoy biting somebodys head off  though ;) Unless like me u have the little voice at the back of your head that keeps asking if u should b doing somthing more constructive than playing games and  u should go do somthing like becoming a monk and dedicating your life 2 good works;) But I digress.:)  its a great ip and hopefully they can turn it into somthing worth waiting 4.

     

    Edit.....ment biting soembodys head off in a vitual world of course;) Kids...don't do it in RL...its not big and its not clever:)
