Aion vs FFIV... subs etc...

Do you think people will leave Aion for FFIV?  play both? or stick with Aion?

After playing WAR for 7 months, I got really burned out and bored, decided to quit and wait for Aion, ... then I see ffiv scheduled to release sometime in 2010.  At the moment, I am taking a break from mmo's till Aion and ffiv come out.  i played ffxi since NA release so I'm leaning towards the traditional final fantasy series.  I have never played a korean mmo, and hear many interesting things about them, so I'd figure I'd play it when it comes out.

Is anyone torn between these two games now?  I know I am... I would love to play 2 mmo's but I don't even think Im gonna have time for even one.

What do you pplz think?

I'm playing Aion until FFXIV comes out. Depends on how much I am enjoying Aion if I get into FFXIV.

It really depends.  FFXIV is not even near a release.  My short term plan is to try play Aion when it launch.  Beta provided intesrting experiences about Aion.  However, Beta cut out alot of materials since it is for testing purpose.  This means over playing Aion in beta might actually be not a good thing.  Now I am just focusing on testing Aion when the beta events happen.

So far, I found some small bugs and reported.  This is mostly spelling or wording errors, and a few skill errors that can be easily fixed.  Nothing major have came up, but the town sure lags a bit on max graphic setting.  There are too many things going on in the background and also the tons of players present in the big city.

If Aion is better then FFXIV then i will continue playing AIon. If FF offers more then Aion does when its released, then i will play FF. Simple really.

Square's recent games have been crap though, so im not holding my breath.

I don't know, I have very little information on it. I won't know for sure until I play some kind of beta or trial of it.

And what makes my mind definitely on purchasing a game is actual gameplay rather than opinions or reviews (these will be important for me to actually notice the game though, the market is flooded with games and you can't really take the time to try them all unless you find a way to transcend time and space :D).

I will be playing Aion, and will try FFXIV when it releases.  I want to see if the PvE will actually keep me interested.  I know it won't be focused on PvP so I will stick with Aion.  If FFXIV can also keep me interested I might sub to both.

Personally I have no interest whatsoever in FF14 so I'll stick with Aion.

Yep its also too early to judge FFXIV. We know nothing about it .

Off Topic: Nadril this have been bothering me for a while...where is your avatar pic from?  He looks familiar.

FFXIV will not have PvP as the devs stated. Probably only as a mini-game like FFXi.

So I dont see FF as a big competition for the PvP-centric AION. Now if someone plays AION just for the PvE part of it my guess is that he will move to FFXIV.

Was Aion till CB4, now I hate Aion and can not wait till FFIV comes. I still can not beleave how little you fly in Aion and the fact that water kills you "you cant swim" and the grind sux MAJOR. Also the questing and content is boring and dry so I am all about FFIV. Can not wait till the get more screenies and vids out.

Even if one has pvp and other doesn't, there's no possible discussion, if FFXIV is more entertainment and more polished, it is better mmo, if it's AION, then it is aion.

I myself will stick with AION for a little, until i get boring, there won't be tons of content until they release some expansions, then i'll play FFXIV, but i'll basically play the one that is better as a whole.

Everything i'm playing will come to a stop and all I will play is FFXIV when it comes out.  Whether it's good or not it doesn't matter that only determines how long it will be this way.

I doubt I will play Aion non stop all the way until this game even comes out.  I will prob play Aion for 6 or 7 months, bounce back to AoC if there is an expansion, keep my EVE sub running, etc.

It all stops when FFXIV comes out though.

Did no one notice that the title and original post says Final Fantasy 4?
Can Aion beat a SNES game from 1991? Dont know.

On topic - cant say. As already been pointed out, we know nothing about the features and gameplay of FF14. I enjoyed most of my time in FF11 but quit because of forced grouping, job bias and economy. I doubt FF14 will suffer from the same problems but who knows.

If AION had an argument as good as FFIV's being an MMORPG it would be badass lol.

I think a LOT depends on the age of the gamer.I know when i was real young ,i would buy anything and everything that was new.

These days i much rather stick to one game for a longer period of time,i no longer play anything and everything.I will trial and test games, just to see what new or unique ideas games are bringing to this genre.
