City/Empire Building MMO Similar to Evony
Hey all,
I'd really like to find some sort of MMO game that has a similar feel to something like Age of Empires where you build a city or nation and other players do the same. Each player has his/her own city or something like that. I've played something pretty similar to what I have in mind called Evony but it's a browser based game. I'm really looking for something that has its own client and is a bit more solid.
As far as I can tell there really isn't anything out there right now similar to what I'm looking for but I figure perhaps I've missed something. It couldn't hurt to ask. In any case, any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Yeah CitiesXL looks really good. I've been following it and will definitely be trying it out. It might be the closest thing out there to what I'm looking for, but I've really been hoping for something that also has an element of combat to it. For example, building up your armies, towers and defenses, and being able to attack other people's settlements.
