what is a rollback? i was checking everything last night, seems like their doing a lot (adding) or something went terribly wrong. i believe we get a free month or whatever and debt wipe from the downtime

not sure exactly what happened, or how much free time they will give. a rollback is when they take you character back to a previous uncorrupted save, so you may lose some items/experience that you have gained. i think it said rollback to 12 hours prior to the patch.

Thankfully I didn't lose any progress. Logged in just now and the only thing I'm missing is xp debt hehe. And if we get like an extra week of free time or whatever it would be worth what happened IMO. I'd gladly not play for a day or two and get a buch of free time.
I definitley do feel bad for those who may have lost some progress do to this. I wonder what exactly happened.

I have characters on 3 servers and all 3 are in the 6 that are still down. 30+ hours and counting. Being a server admin myself I would have been fired if any of my systems went down for half this time barring a fire or natural/unnatural disaster. This is just plain incompetence and then a lot more.
Was able to take a look and it appears everything is in place on all my characters.
I imagine a few heads are rolling over this.
My server is still down. Great, officially won't be able to play this WHOLE weekend (I easily put in 30 hours on my account on the weekend)
That's due to me having to study for exams all day tomorrow.
But by reading their news posts, it's a hardware problem, they said they were in contact with a hardware provider to fix the problem, and are working 24/7
they also said they would give us time back we lost (most likely more than we lost)

they mentioned something about giving an exp gain on monday or tuesday...that to me is stupid. the ppl that were hit hardest by this are the ppl like myself that really only play on the weekend. ya thanks for the xp gain on days where i cant play....u morons.

i read it on the official website, a post from a mod. said "the rollbacks could be as far as 12 hours prior to the patch." but, the rollbacks arent every character as far as i know, only ones that were corrupted. you wont know for sure until you log in.
